I have been laid off due to the recent incident in NY. My friend sent me $1000 to pay rent for this month. I set up my account, then varified EVERYTHING. I went to withdraw $500 of my $1000, it seemed to be going good. THEN on Friday I looked at my bank account, they posted the two varification deposits, but no $500. When I looked at my paypal account, THEY PUT me and my friend on restriction. I don't know why, but if I loose my apartment because of this, I don't know what will be of me. I need help, I need to know what to do. I thought of contacting the BBB but I don't know if I am just overreacting.

You see that is the thing, my friend used paypal funds, and I used the available withdraw amount, being $500, it worked out all right, until the transaction was suddenly reversed, they my account was put on Restricted, now I can' t pay rent.

i dont believe there is any limit in receiving fund with paypal, your friend may have a restriction on how much he can charge with his cc,but then you said this is his money in the account?
unless that money is questionable as to how it comes from or whoever send him that money whole or partial has some disagreement with him, then paypal may lock up the money until resolved.
try western union if he has more money lying around

DanIsTheMan1684,

Did PayPal inform you or your friend why the accounts had been restricted?
