I have a buyer (2nd time in ebay) who purchased a Veg. bowl from me it arrived broken(so she says)it was insured, but she refuses to go to the PO & file a claim. She paid witha credit card through PayPal & wants to stop payment. I have been with PPsince its beginning & have never had any trouble with them. I have filed a counter claim with PP and am waiting for a final decision. What else can I do with this #*!@, ( she called me an #*!@) What can we do to educate newcomers to the fact that they have the merchandise & have to file the claim??

may i ask where is this buyer ,i mean which state and city??
she will have to go to the post office with your insurance slip, form and original box and packing.
dont let her return the glass to you.

There doesn't seem like there is much anyone can do with a dishonest buyer.

If this buyer paid by credit card, you are going to lose. It doesn't matter if the buyer participates in the insurance or not.

We've had several stories now with sellers who felt that result would be unfair, and now live with a chargeback on their PayPal record. They blame PayPal, they blame anyone but their own decision to be uncooperative.

Figure out some way to make peace with this buyer.

Her ebay name is Karakul & she is from Catonsville, MD. I don't think there is anyway to make piece with her. I have explained to her at least twice that she must go to the PO & she refuses to accept this. Says I am responsible & I should refund her $$. I aree that she may be trying to get her dish for nothing, but I am not going to give in. PayPal is checking this out. I hjave been in contact with them 2X.

recently i lost 2 teapots becasue my buyer is too good to go to the post office.
she returned the broken items to me and i took them to the post office, claim was denied as post office said no one on the other end has examined the broken pieces,so sorry, usps is not responsible.
worse to show i know a few things about customer service,i shipped her the replacement before i wait to hear from post office.
then 3 weeks after i sent her the replacement via usps priority she bombarded me with emails saying she did not receive the replacments and want her money back(she used paypal)
i gave her the insurance slip number for the replacement teapots and told her i will speak to usps fraud investigation as well as her local police as theft seems to be rampant in her area and they should send a policeman out to talk to a few people and check out the neighborhood.
so to all that, she said the problem has been resolved.
she is from indiana not maryland.
but there are more than one scam artists in cyberspace, sometimes they will buy something expensive, big and delicate and claimed they have no time to stand in line and want you to give her a partial refund.or the item has a manufacturing defect if you look upside down,so how about 15-25 dollars refund?/
tell her the only way she will get her money back is to take the form and insurance slip and everything to post office and showed to the clerk, the money should go to you and you will refund her money once you get it from the post office.
or the money can go to her if she wants.
if she is doing a chargeback with her cc,her cc issuer will contact paypal and by then paypal should have your words on file and should fight the cc issuer against any chargeback.
credit card issuer will listen to both sides, she does not want to go to post office she gets nothing back.
sometimes i wonder if these buyers have gone to the post office so many times that they are automatic suspects of mail fraud until proven innocent.
usps is getting rather picky and not always refund -common reasons are no one see it on the other end,the outside box is not damaged, also poor packing.
in my case the buyer refused to return the outside box to me,which tells me she is doing a switch a roo .

why not find out who is her cc issuer and call their customer service and get your side of the story in first?
sometimes it is a game of hardball, lets see who can play it better.
you can say you will call her cc issuer ,talk to a manager and not a clerk,or talk to visa or mc ,the ones who sit on top of the issuers and throw the books at her.
just like i said i will call her local police and ask them to send a policeman out to her neighborhood??

Same thing happened to me..a pot was supposedly broken. I told them what they had to do to claim on ins. and thats the last I ever heard from them. I have shipped at least 1500 packages and have had 3 broken dishes. The usps automated eqipment punched a hole in one of them and they paid. The other package had one broken dish out of 4. I had one just like it and sent her a replacement.

Like i said I'm still waiting on the last one and the auction ended sep 19. Looks like she might have been pulling my leg.

last post at aw..everyone take care.
