Hi,

As you have been advised, we do need to verify your identity before anything will be released. You have not supplied this, and you are claiming unauth account access. We absolutely need to verify that you are the correct party before taking action on your claim.

I didn't claim unauthorized access, paypal did. To my knowledge, noone has accessed anything of mine and if they have, I've taken precautions against it happening again. I want to know what will happen with my money if I don't fax the info.

they will not release it until you send the info....they act like a bank but only have a license to do so in 2 states....hopefully once they are public they might actually have to start answering to people!!!!

Hi danaquilts,

I imagine these rules would apply

-
Unclaimed Property. If you do not access your account for a period of three years, it will be terminated. After the date of termination, we will use the information you provided to try to send you any funds that we are holding in custody for you. If that information is not correct, and we are unable to complete the payment to you, your funds will be subject to applicable state laws regarding escheat of unclaimed property.

It sounds like our security team noticed something and took action to protect your account. There was a ZDNET article on our fraud team recently, as well as the fact that we noticed the user had an issue with their account before they did.

So you'll collect interest on it for three years, THEN attempt to send it back using the same, original, (and now suspected fraudulent) contact data you were given in the very beginning?
