(that should have been *on c2it*)
I just went and tried to sign up with citibank. Apparently, my computer doesn't interface too good with their system, and I have to wait two working days- Wednesday, that would be- before trying again. BUT- the customer service phone number was very easy to find, and the service people were eager to help. Anyone here use it, and do you get many buyers paying you with it?
I have a paypal account, two years now- no problems yet, but I know the customer service sux if I ever do. I have bidpay, and the western union one as well. The vast majority of my sales are paypal.

Yes,
I've setup with C2it. I'm trying to bring awareness to my winning bidders on using it instead of Paypal as I'm trying to wean them away from using Paypal.
I had only a slight problem with C2it, but called their customer service and it was taken care of immediately.
I asked their customer service if they ever were going to "charge" for their service and was told that it would remain free indefinitely.
Oh, I did discover one problem but it's in their html code to add "buttons" to the end of my email or to another web page. I copied and pasted their exact information into an email and unfortunately it did not change to their C2it button as it was supposed to. I let their customer service know about it, so we'll see what happens.
Hope this helps you,
Kay

usps has a service and no one asks for it,it will take money from the buyer and wont release it to the seller until the DC slip is logged in at destination post office.
but one catch-no credit card,it goes right to your bank account.
dont trust c2it,soon they will move their operation to rwanda, pakistan, india, gaza strip to cut costs.

I have had several buyers pay with c2it. I have it set up so that I can put the money they send in my bank account or on one of my credit card accounts. So far it has been wonderful

C2it has great customer service. Their number is easily available on their web site, and knowledgable reps answer the phone and help you. They don't have the best web site, however. Just today, for instance, I realized I got a payment over a day ago but C2it never sent me an e-mail informing me of this. C2it is run by a real bank (Citibank), who I would trust with my money as all accounts at C2it are FDIC insured.

I have used C2it a couple of times. The only real problem that anyone will have is forgetting their password and or the e-mail address they log on with. C2it give you a certain limit to logging on so if you forget your password/addy and try to log on a few times, you will get a message saying to log on in 24 hours. They say they do this for security reasons, which is good. Sometimes, we forget our pw with so many to remember nowadays. Other than this little "glitch" in their system, it is great.

If you need immediate access to your account and that happens maybe customer service would be able to unlock it... my friend did that with his citibank credit card and they unlocked it right there.

Several of my buyers have had trouble signing up with C2it. I had the same problem when I first signed up--the third day I tried I was finally able to do it without getting any error messages. Has anyone else had this problem?
It's VERY difficult to get people off PayPal if C2it is so difficlut for them to use.

I have tried 3 times to set up service with C2it. Twice it crashed my machine and the other time it just hung and hung until I killed the browser. No other site does that. I am sorry but I will not be using them. I have used ecount to shop online and am delighted with them but no sellers accept it for auctions.

I've been using Ecount on my auctions and it's been good. I personally like them and use their debit card for offline purchases too which is convenient. Had a bunch of probs with paypal but it seems they're the only one with a more updated & advanced tools, wish there would be another big company that would be out in the market to challenge paypal as the one big thing I didn't like abt paypal is its customer service,it sux.

I've had bidders use C2IT a few times. I like C2IT because they don't allow buyers to chargeback on a whim. I usually request a check which has never taken more than 5 business days to get to me and usually takes less than 3 which isn't bad. My Paypal account was restricted again yesterday because I had detached my bank account on my business account which I think was triggered by a call to customer service by me earlier last week to ask about a duplicate charge which turned out to be a problem where completed transactions were registering as separate transactions from those which were pending. The rep helped me out and I thought it was the end of the problem. I called customer service tonight he said it looks like nothing is out of the ordinary that I just needed to confirm my checking account which he saw that I had already done. So I'll be patient and wait till tomorrow and see what it brings. I am hoping for the best. Did anyone see that Ebay is purchasing Paypal in a stock swap? Looks like Paypal is here to stay I just hope Ebay makes it an even better service. I must say that I have been impressed with Paypal's implementation of shipping services.

I don't like the fact that you only get an email address and dollar amount. There is no way to match up with item won, they think address has been given to me like PayPal and it has not. When people use different email than auction there is no way to identify a payment until winner writes, angry about not receiving their items. Would it be so hard to give item name and address to mail it to.

I just recently started using C2it just so I could have another option in addition to Pay Pal if anything went wrong and/or because I like to give my customers as many options as possible.
So far I've had no problems with it, the sign up was smooth and painless, no complaints thus far -- (but I can say the same thing about Pay Pal and others wouldn't agree with me) I will say this though: I don't mean to sound daft, but I believe that people are fooling themselves when they think that C2it will remain free forever.
It won't, eventually, they will institute a fee system just like pay pal or any other online payment service.
The reason behind this is simple:
-It costs money to run C2it and the fees they charge for international transactions will not subsidize the domestic ones. Citibank isn't going to spend millions on a service and not expect a return.
-Citibank didn't start C2it as favor for us online auctioneers, they started it because they saw a profitable market they could enter into.
In the end I like Citibank, I have citibank credit cards, I bank with them, I have friends who work there, and in my rounds as a consultant, it's only a matter of time before I work there too and I look forward to it. So this is not a knock against Citibank, I'm just pointing out that C2it is a business and just like us, they are in this to make money.

At which point we will all find yet another credit card service that is free until they work out the glitches.
I personally never felt it would be free for this long, but then I never thought it would take this long to make it user friendly either. Especially when all they have to do is sign up for PayPal and see how easy it is to use. I can't even look up a transaction without knowing what billing period it appeared in and what email address the payor happened to use. In all this time they still can't give us a user name or item name to reference. I realize giving the address of the payor so we don't have to email & ask them, only to have them say they thought c2it would forward it with the notice, would be way too difficult.
Every time auctions end there are at least 3 who give up trying to register or trying to put in their password because they won't send it or the secret question. You must register all over again. I'm happy you're happy, but they have a long way to go before many would pay for this amateur service.

If you have a web page copy this into it. it is an aminated curser that says paypal is not your pal.

I am a seller at work with 5000+ feedbacks and a retail store with a gross of over 500,000 a year but I did not qualify for a c2it account, did not get a response when I asked why. Thats alright, I have an electronic merchant account and a paypal account so I do not need c2it nor would I even take an account now the way I was treated. I have been a powerseller for 2 years and I don't rate an account in their eyes. My son was ripped off by a seller using paypal and they did nothing, he called his credit card company and they took the money back out of paypals account. I have had a couple of run-ins with paypal but all in all, they are my prefered method of accepting payment, of course I am the evil seller, not the buyer.
