I have a problem and I need some help:

1. I set it up that my customers can buy unlimited items and every item after #1 is not charged shipping.

2. Now they are having trouble paying for the items. It seems as if the checkout from PayPal and Vendio are "fighting" each other. They say that the "Paypal server is not connecting with checkout."

Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas?

Another thing:

If I turn off eBay Checkout, does it conflict with Vendio? Do people just not pay?

Hello,

Could you please provide one of the listing numbers where this is happening, so that we can take a look? Also, please confirm that this is happening in Vendio checkout after the buyer clicks the "Pay Now" button at the end of the checkout process.

There's no reason that eBay checkout should be conflicting with your Vendio checkout. Are you seeing the two checkout systems conflicting? If you are using Vendio checkout than it is usually best to direct your buyers to Vendio checkout as much as possible. However, I wouldn't necessarily recommend turning off eBay checkout. If you decide to not specify shipping costs for eBay checkout, then your shipping cost information will not appear at the top and bottom (eBay sections) of your listings, and it will also not appear in your buyers' search results.

Regards,
Nathan

First, I am reporting what my customer was reporting. The item she was buying is: 170093446855. I feel like turning off eBay checkout. How does this affect me? I am reading that there are many ways to NOT use this. however, it seems like using eBay checkout is ideal for the one-item customer.

What do I do? I have had 3 customers complaining about the way this works.

Hello,

I was able to see an error for this listing, but it is difficult to look into further as the payment has already been completed for this order. Is this currently happening with any additional listings where your buyer has not yet paid?

The main negative effect that you would have by not specifying shipping costs for eBay checkout is that your shipping cost information will not appear at the top and bottom (eBay sections) of your listings, and it will also not appear in your buyers' search results.

Note that if you want your buyers to be able to choose between Vendio checkout and eBay checkout, then you can turn off checkout redirect. If you do this I would place a note in the listings that you prefer Vendio checkout. Then your buyers can either use the Vendio checkout (through the Vendio checkout button), or they can pay through eBay checkout.

Regards,
Nathan

So what do I change in my settings to make sure my customers always get directed to the right place?

Hello,

Are you trying to make sure that they are always directed to Vendio checkout, always directed to eBay checkout, or that they have a choice?

If you want them to always be directed to Vendio checkout then your account is currently setup correctly. Note that there are still ways that your buyers can bypass Vendio checkout (for example, by going to PayPal directly and referencing the listing number).

If you want them to always be directed to eBay checkout then go to "My Account" --> "Post Sale Management Preferences" --> uncheck "Display the yellow Preferred Checkout panel after my eBay auctions close", uncheck "Use eBay Checkout Redirect", and uncheck "Automatically send a Winning Bidder Notification (WBN) when a listing closes with a valid winner".

If you want them to have a choice then go to "My Account" --> "Post Sale Management Preferences" --> uncheck "Use eBay Checkout Redirect" and check "Include the Vendio Checkout button and my Preferred Checkout Instructions in my auction listings by default". Then if the buyer wants to checkout using Vendio they will use the Vendio checkout button. If they want to checkout through eBay then they will use the eBay checkout button.

Regards,
Nathan
