In all my active items, I just noticed the top photo is not appearing. Don't know how long they haven't been but they used to without any problem.
Also, when I delete uneceassry images from image hosting, the image still appears in the drop down list of images when creating an auction and the image actually does still show in the tiny preview box right there. I even delete then from the image recycle bin and they still show up! I checked duplicate auctions of same item in Inventory to see if it was something I did/did not do in there and can find nothing obvious. What's the deal?

Hello Ann,

This is an option provided inside your ebay site specifics page. You'll find it here at the bottom of the page:

Photo Preview (not applicable for eBay Motors vehicles categories)
Select an image that will appear in all your eBay listings in the upper left corner. The eBay Photo Preview image is 200 x 150 pixels. Images of other sizes will be resized to fit.
(Please note that if your item has no images, the "leave this space blank" mode will be used.)

This is the option you have selected:

-Ensure buyers read your item description

It sounds like what you are experiencing with the images is a caching issue. I would recommend clearing your cache to ensure that the old image names aren't showing up in the menu.

Ed

Cashe is cleared and has been for past 24 hours. Nothing happened to rectify this problem and eBay says the rproblem is at Vendio and not with them.
Please advise.

How do I un"select" the option that says to show that blurb rather than my photos?

Is this done at Vendio or ebay?

Hello,

The cache suggestion was for your images that continue to show in the drop-down box after you have deleted them. We never told you the problem was with eBay. If clearing your browser cache did not remove the deleted images from the drop-down box, please try using a different browser and let us know if it gives you the same problems. For example, if you are using Internet Explorer try using Mozilla Firefox. If you are using Mozilla Firefox, try using Internet Explorer.

As Ed explained you will need to go to your eBay site specifics page. This is in your Vendio account. If you are having trouble locating this page you may find it by going to "My Account" --> "eBay" (below "Site Specifics" ). Then scroll down to the bottom of the page. Then select one of the four display options under "Photo Preview". Note that this change will only apply to future listings.

Please let us know if you continue to have trouble with this.

Regards,
Nathan

I have tried all I can to clear cashe's in both areas and even changed over to Firefox as suggested. Still I get no photo when you first open my auctions. 160119392263
Here is just one example of an entire set of auctions that used to show preview photos just fine.
I changed things in my acct. as suggested as well and still cannot seem to fix this issue. PLEASE READ MY DETAILED DESCRIPTION shows in what used to be the photo preview boxes at top and bottom of my auctions. Is there a way to have someone walk me through fixing these live like eBay does for customers?

The last email to me stated that once acct. changed it would apply to future auctions I create (does that mean the old ones aren't fixable?) I spent many hundreds of hours creating past auction ad's and certainly don't want to recreate them all if I am understanding you correctly.

Annie - I think once you fix your preferences, the preview image will show on all listings launched after you made the change.

To fix the problem in items currently listed you will have to revise each item directly in ebay by adding a picture:

I forgot to add that you have to click the "Insert picture" button. Use this for only the image you want in the preview. The example I used was one of my store items with a gallery. You don't have to have a gallery to add a picture to the preview.

Hello,

Neglus, thank you for the assist!

Annieappleseed, Neglus is correct. The change will only apply to future new listings. For existing listings you will need to make the change by revising the listings directly through eBay. I do see that you have successfully changed your preferences for future new listings.

Regards,
Nathan
