Yikes - I posted before I read all the threads on the board today. DIANA WHERE ARE YOU???

I really need your assistance here. This is a pretty expensive mess. Are you guys cancelling these or do we need to? If we need to will they auto-relist? What about the associated eBay fees?

Guys ... this is a nasty mess and we need to hear from you. Your last post was about 8 hours ago.

Hi there,

As you can imagine we've been a bit busy answering phone calls, chats, and emails. I apologize for the delay getting back to you.

If you had items launch erroneously, they will be items that were set to auto-relist. Please do cancel these items on eBay (as long as you do it within the 12 hour window you should be able to get a refund.) HOWEVER - before you cancel the items please go to Sales Manager and disable auto-relist. To do this, go to the "All Active" view, select the items, and click "Set Auto-Relist".

If you incurred any Vendio fees for these items, please contact our billing department using the contact form under our Help menu.

Thanks, and I apologize for the inconvenience.

Best regards,

Diana

Who are we supposed to contact in eBay to get these refunds?
What is the department and what is their email or link to the specific page needed?

and just why do we have to 'beg' for a refund when it is not our fault? Can't the same little 'gremlins' that flung the stuff out there gather it back in and notify eBay?

I'm sure Vendio has spoken to eBay about this mess so eBay is no doubt aware of it.

Thanks, Diana for your able assistance and for your email as well.

I am waiting for a response to my request as to what specific department to contact within eBay in order to reverse the fees.

Well, usually you get up and look to see how things went on the auctions and are happy to see sales.
This morning , I almost cried .... my auctions all offer "Buy It Now" well two customers bought the same item - I have only one!
Both paid instantly!
Now who is going to to inform one of them that it was double listed !

I thought I had caught the double listings but missed this one and OF COURSE they both sold-Murpheys Law.

I will make someone angry - may get a neg --geeez thanks

Sorry to hear that but it figures.

Does anyone have a phone number or address for the person at eBay that can facilitate our refunds?

If you are a Power Seller then you can talk to your Account Executive. Otherwise try the customer service number that's buried on the site.

And, BTW, eBay DID know about it because we called our Power Seller Account Executive who had already run through our refunds. It's possible the pinks who monitor the chatrooms didn't know but they're not the people who'd handle any refunds anyway.

Hello davebraun,

Finding the page to contact eBay isn't as bad as it used to be. Here are some tips to get to the page your looking for:

From the eBay help page, click the Contact Us link along the left hand side of the page.

Check the box labeled 'Selling and Managing Your Item' - then click the 'Continue' button.

I have gone to that page and found there to be a que. I do not have the time to waste due to a situation which I did not create yet am forced to endure a protracted process or suffer the financial consequences solely.

Your solution leaves much to be desired.

Hello davebraun,

That is correct, the eBay Live Chat option does have a queue, which varies in length based on the number of other users looking for help at that time. You can opt to wait, try again later, or use the 'email' option if you will never have the time.

We realize this solution is not perfect, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

davebraun is right, this has been a nightmare to me. I do all the fixing on ebay then Vendio has the nerve to write to me and say 'email us if you want us to refund the Vendio fees we accidently charged you'. Come on, its like if I stiffed Vendio on a bill then told them to fix it they'd have to call my boss and ask for a raise for me. And didn't give you his number.

lennonhall, your welcome. I'm the one who alerted ebay about the problem initially and the PINK is the exact same person who credited my refund.

paulvs,

We are actively working to identify all effected users and credit them automatically.
It still wouldn't hurt to touch base with the billing department to relay what you know what done, just to be sure, but we are working to apply these credits automatically.
I believe davebraun was frustrated with the process of getting the credits from eBay.

Regards,
Christopher

Thank you Christopher and just to clarify, when I have an issue with Vendio it's not an attack on you, Diana, Nathan or anyone else. Some users are so afraid of hurting someones feelings they tip-toe around everything. I can't afford to do that. Vendio messed up big-time here no one is directing comments at you personally, its the company.

paulvs - thanks for clarifying.

We understand this, and always appreciate those that are willing to work *with* us to help move forward and improve the services and website.
