Hello,

The engineering team is checking into it as we speak. Is there an item in particular where this happened for you, that we can use to test with? I checked your active listings on eBay from yesterday but having trouble locating this item.

Christopher

Hello,

Thanks for the example Jack. We are still checking into the possible causes for this issue.

At this time we believe the problem is most likely related to an issue eBay is experiencing in their API, which has been acknowledged (by them) internally. We will work with them to ensure the problem is not originating on our end, and will do our best to make sure this problem is resolved quickly. Thank you for your patience.

If any of your items launch without a description, please cancel the items and request a refund for the insertion fee from eBay. You may try relisting through our system, as we do not believe this is affecting all items.

Please check our announcement frequently as we will post updates as we get them.
Regards,
Christopher

Christopher,
Were you able to identify the problem with dropped item descriptions?

I have so many auctions affected by this issue that I'm not sure where to start. People are asking tons of questions not knowing exactly what I sell. I'm loosing a lot of sale to people going somewhere else and other people purchase my items "hoping" it will fit their needs.

I just cannot sit by the computer, check 400-500 auctions for content, early end affected auctions, and INDIVIDUALLY request credit for each auction.

Whom should I blame and who should be paying for it?

Jack

Hello,

It did turn out to be an error in the eBay API which they quickly corrected. They had mentioned that items effected should be canceled and refunds would be given to those requested.

They did not address the issue for powersellers that launched a LOT of auctions during that specific window of time, which was reported as being corrected at 11:46AM.

You would want to limit your search for effected items to listings posted between 9pm the 11th and 11:30AM or so on the 12th.

Regards,
Christopher
