Suddenly I have 190 pictures in Unfiled picture folder. Usually I have 5-10 general and not categorized pictures there.

Also, these pictures show 10/02 last viewed date and that cannot be correct. File names are incorrect either.

Thanks,
Jack

Hello Jack,

I'm not sure how or why what you're describing would have happened. I'm not aware of any other complaints about this issue, so it appears to be isolated to your account. Is there anyone else using your account? Also, when you say the image filenames changed, can you give us a few examples of what they were changed from->to?

Thanks,

Diana

Diana,
Thank you for responding.

Please go to my main folder and see all the pictures with _xxxxxx.jpg number at the end of the file name. All these pictures suddenly appeared in my UNFILED folder.

They have correct file name with addition of the number at the end of the file name.

For example: FJ0001SAShiftKnob_Sm_260938.jpg

Please compare it with correct file name in eBay auction:

http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/jackmikol/FJ0001SAShiftKnob_Sm.jpg

All files that not supposed be in this folder have the 5 digit number at the end.

I'm the only user for this account.

Thanks,
Jack

Diana,
Actually I have the same situation in my second Vendio account.

In my UNFILED folder I have a number of pictures with _xxxxxx.jpg number at the end of the file name.

The same pictures are in the correct subfolders with correct file name.

Example: TUE100CH_600_249003.jpg

This picture is located in one of the subfolders with correct name TUE100CH_600.jpg

Thanks,
Jack

This happens to me when I import listings. Since the image already exists it creates another one when the same name but adds some numbers at the end.

Just a thought.

Beth,
I was thinking about the same situation BUT I list my auctions/pictures thru Vendio only. I don't have any new auctions to import and I don't recall importing anything recently.

I have hundreds of auctions and many more pictures but only 190 or so appeared in UNFILED folder.

I hope the current crash of picture services wasn't caused by Vendio trying to fix my pictures. -)

If this is the case, current mess is my fault as Vendio is always blaming others for crashes.

Diana,
Did you find out why I have 190 renamed, duplicate pictures in my main folder?

As suggested, these could be imported pictures but I have not started any auctions outside of Vendio. I don't recall importing anything either. Some time ago I was trying to refresh my inventory that is out of synch all the time.

I would like to delete them but I'm afraid they may be linked to the existing auctions.

Thanks,
Jack

I have had this happen when I do an import too. Even though my original listing was created in Vendio, if Vendio doesn't get the confirmation of launch from EBay or if I relist through EBay for some reason, I have to import the listings to get them to show in the Vendio PSM.

What I have done is create a "Holding Folder" or "Imported Images FOlder" and then move all the imported images from "Unfiled" to this folder. After a reasonable amount of time I check the last viewed date and if it hasn't changed, I know that the listings must be using the original images and not the renamed imported images and I am safe in deleting them.

Neglus,
Thank you for your help. Actually it makes sense and I will create extra folder to keep these pictures just in case.

I think this is pathetic that my fellow users are helping me while Vendio "support" (I use this term very loosely) is clueless on what is going on with my pictures.

Jack
