I noticed on the Stores board in your conversation with Chris that you stated that you list from pending. I used to do that too but found out (the hard way) that when I did that I did not get an updated listing form. Sometimes Vendio makes subtle changes to the form and the old forms don't map properly to the EBay form. Just a heads up - maybe they have changed the way that works but if not, you might want to consider listing another way.

I converted all of my "Pending" listing forms to "Inventory Profile Items" (I use SMME) by checking the box "Save to Inventory" and saving the item. I then went into the "Inventory" section and made each of these listing "prototypes" a "profile" item. Now I list by clicking on "Create ebay listing" and choose the appropriate prototype from a drop down window. It actually is easier to navigate than "Pending" and puts my information on the latest listing form version.

Hello,

The pending listing section uses the same listing form as when you click to create a brand new auction from scratch.

FYI. Whichever works easier for you, your using the same listing form in both cases. The only difference is where your getting your prefilled information from (a copy of a previous item or using an inventory profile.)

Christopher

Christopher - I remember back a few years ago that Vendio changed something in the shipping part of the form and because my prototype did not have shipping listed that way, the form did not get filled in properly.

I think it was something as simple as the little box you check to "Apply shipping discount for multiple purchases in eBay checkout" or it may have been the box you check "Offer international shipping". The boxes probably did appear on the form but Vendio never announced the change and I never noticed the new boxes. I found out when I complained on this board about changes that need to be made and was told that these changes were made quite awhile ago!

A similar thing happened to my sister who had "local pickup only" showing on her listings and she didn't discover it until months later.

Hello,

That would also apply to your inventory profile items. If the items your copying, or using as a template to make new items off of, is setup a specific way - unless you change those details when making your new items - your new items will also have those details.

That wouldn't be specific to just the pending section, that would apply to any case where you use existing data Vs starting anew.

Christopher

On the first re list,(correct me if I am wrong) would you not lose the re list credit if it sells.

As I am assuming that the inventory re-list will be generic instead of the actual one that went off.
Of course store listings do not get the re-list credit.
thanks

Also Neglus,

I believe I do list new items as you mentioned. I have a group of different themed inventory listing and when I do a new item I do pull them down and START from there.

But you do need to check each line as who knows what has changed.

I have not mentioned it before, but, about a week ago the info on the templates were not sticking to the form. I opened up the inventory listing for a group of items I was going to list. I then changed the title, price, and some info in the listing text for each item.

The rest of the ad was the same for duration, category and buy it now info. Of the listed items, maybe half sold thru buy it now or a best offer.

The rest did not. So I re-listed them , that is when I caught the unknown changes. The best offer was gone and the Eby checkout was unchecked. This happened by itself. With the turmoil of the picture changes of that week, I just let it go.

So I need to check here and on e-bay to make sure it is posted as I wanted it to be.

This is just another of the "issues" I have encounter currently.

I know we all get busy and try to get things done as quick as possible , but it is just another thing we have to do with Vendio/e-bay "issues".

Roger - I thought you were talking about creating "New" listings. (I used to list new listings by copying a prototype listing I held in "Pending".

I bulk relist if the only change will be price. If I want to add or take away gallery or change format etc I have to do what you do - I bulk relaunch for a future date and then go into Pending and cancel the scheduled launches and then edit the listings one by fricking one. What a pain! We have been asking for a DECENT bulk relister for years but it must be stuck in the stage "pass along to engineering". I get the feeling that enhancements to SMME are not even on the table. Too bad some of us just can't use SMIE.

When I went over to the dark side for a few days(Andale) recently I was able to look at the new Vendio off line tool. It really is a leap yr or two from what we now use.

Whenever they can get the stars lined up on this tool we will all have something to be happy with.

It works like the inventory addition and you can do a lot of adjusting in a large screen format so it will help.

But as we all know, new Vendio items are like a fine wine, it needs time to age before they will let us drink it.
