Can you confirm that an email to Vendio support (the "contact us" link) will be sufficient to opt out of the Image Album feature?
Thanks

The announcement said that we could opt out by contacting Vendio.

I used the 'contact us' link to opt out by email, we'll see if that works. Doesn't seem like a very efficient way to opt out of a feature though. A bit time consuming for Vendio employees.

Hello,
We have already opted you out of the service, along with everyone else who posted that they would prefer to opt-out of this new feature. We expect that the feature will provide more value for your buyers, but we also understand if you prefer not to use it.
Thanks,
Diana

Thanks Diana - I realize it is a great service for those with many or scaled down images. It is just not necessary for those of us who already use full sized images in our listings.

I feel kind of stupid. Is this Image Album only if you have a Vendio store? Is that a scrolling album? I don't see anything different on my auctions. I have the Auctiva scrolling pictures.

Hello toyspast,
The image album is different from the scrolling Gallery. You can see one in your listing by clicking on one of your Vendio-hosted click-to-enlarge images. The image album is the new click-to-enlarge view for your listings (it is similar to the view that you used to have).

Nathan

Wow, thanks for that lightning fast response. I'm guessing that this was a feature that modified the template and therefore will only take effect with new listings, but those already listed with the feature will retain the Image Album?

Hello,
That is correct. The change will only take place for your future listings.
Please let us know should you need further assistance.

Please opt me out of this feature. I noticed that since you added this, I can't just backspace out of the page. And when I hit "Close", it makes my screen go from AOL to my Internet Explorer. I'm assuming that it might do that to some of my customers also, so ME NO WANT!

Hi,
I opted out of this and you said it was "done" but nothing has changed. Please opt me out of this program, and please make sure it gets done this time. Thanks!

Hello toyspast,
The opt-out will only work if you are not using click-to-enlarge images. This is the new click-to-enlarge view, and it cannot be turned off for listings where you are using click-to-enlarge images. We have turned it off for you, so if you are not using click-to-enlarge images it will be disabled for future listings. If you would like to turn off your click-to-enlarge images you may do so by going to "My Account" --> "Global Preferences" --> scroll down to the bottom of the page and uncheck "Automatically scale down large images for faster download and cleaner presentation".

Nathan

I'm a little confused then. I opted out but it still looks the same. If this is the "new" look, then why did you give us an option to opt out? As stated previously, I don't like it because when I click on "close" it drops the screen I'm on and I have to go back to the AOL screen. If it happens to me, then it's also happening to some of my customers. Before, you could just backspace out. Easy. Now it's difficult. I love progress......

toyspast,
What Nathan was saying is that this option to 'opt out' is for the link appearing on images where your *not* using the 'click to enlarge feature.
There is no option to opt out of the new enlarged image page for those that do use 'click to enlarge' style image formatting.

Christopher

Understood. But what I'm saying is I DON'T LIKE THE NEW FORMAT! It causes more problems when trying to go back to the auction page. Before you could just BACKSPACE out. But now you are forced to click on the CLOSE button which drops the screen out. I have to get back to the screen to continue. I've always had the click to enlarge. I don't wish to not have that option. Thanks for making life more difficult.
