Why are the majoity of my auction that have been sold, then I relist another one, comming up as imported? This is a major pain in the A$$. How can this be fixed? I am getting real tired of it!

Hello,

Unless you do your relisting from eBay and then import the item, it shouldn't show as having been imported.

If you have any examples we would be happy to dig into it further for you.

Christopher

Hello,

Thanks, we'll take a look and let you know what we find.
One clarification, it wasn't a question of listing an item at eBay, rather relisting an item at eBay.

Christopher

I thought that was implied.

If you look through all my picture that you are hosting you will see how many are being imported by the file names. I have not clicked on "import listings" in several months

Hello,

These items do not appear to be coming up as imported. Are you referring to the assigned template by chance?
This would just mean that at some point an item was imported and this is the template that was assigned at that time (as a result) - not that the item your working with itself has been imported.

You can usually spot imported items by looking at the hit counter, as imported ads will show N/A as the current count.

Why was it imported? I never did it?

Hello,

I cannot say, as this particular one wasn't imported. It could have been from as far back as when you signed up.

Is the issue that you see the 'imported listing' template assigned to it, is this your only indication/trouble with it as an 'imported' item? Or are you trying to do something and unable to do so because its showing as being imported elsewhere than the name of the template that was assigned at some point in the items complete history?

Christopher

None of the auctions are that old. Some have only been listed a few times. When this happens my custom text is posted twice & the pictures to not show up.

Hello,

Using an imported template does not necessarily mean that it is an imported listing, or that it is an old listing. I checked these listings and I do see that you have selected "imported listing" as the template to use for these listings. A completely new listing could be using the "imported listing" template. It is usually best to use templates that have been created with the Vendio Template Workshop for your listings. You can select the template you would like to use for a listing from the "Site Specifics" --> "Custom Templates" section of your listing form.

The reason your custom text is being posted twice in some of your listings is because it is included both in the description section of the listings, as well as in the Custom Listing Text section of your Vendio account. The Custom Listing Text will be added automatically to your listings at the time that they are listed. If you also enter this text into the listing description section, then it will appear twice in your listings.

The reason your images are not showing up correctly is because you are using the imported template, and it does not include the image placement. The only images that are showing on your listings with the imported template are the ones that you have referenced in the description section of your listings.

In order to solve these problems, please select a template that was created in the Vendio Template Workshop for your future new listings.

Regards,
Nathan

I have never selected the imported template. When I select it to relist. before I even click on the edit button it show "imported listing" As the template. Rather than the "STACKED ON TOP WHITE" I have been using for the last 4 years. If you look at my list of pictures that you are hosting, you will see several have been imported.

Hello,

Please be sure to check the template that you are using at the time that you relist your items, and let us know if you continue to have trouble with this when you select the correct template prior to relisting.

Nathan

I am still having this problem It is taking twice as long to relist an item when I have to change everything. I have not imported an auction in over a year but it is still changing my template to imported. I can not be the only one with this problem

Hello,

You can change the default template that is selected automatically for future new listings by going to "My Account" --> "Custom Templates" --> from the "Saved Templates" section select a customizable template (one that does not have an asterisk next to it) and check the "Set as Default" box.

Note that for relists, or existing pending listings, you will need to manually change the template prior to listing.

Regards,
Nathan

I am not an idiot. I have been using Vendio for 7 years. I have the template saved. That is not the problem. How many times do I have to explain this? When I relist an auction, I select an auction that closed with bids. It was never imported. But it show as imported when listed. That causes me to have to change templates, remove all the HTML text, pictures & fix the shipping. I should not have to do this if you just look into the problem rather than treating me like an moron! Once again. THESE AUCTIONS WERE NEVER IMPORTED TO BEGIN WITH. THEY WERE LISTED WITH VENDIO NOT EBAY. Try looking into it rather than some bull$hit answer.

Another problem this causes is if the so called imported auction closed in a few days it will relaunch as a 3 day auction. This causes me to have to eat more ebay fees. But judging from your replies you just wrote me off anyway!
Thanks for the help

Hello,

Listing "290189659021". It appears this one was originally listed through Vendio, then deleted from your Vendio account, and then imported back into your Vendio account.

Listing "290164148732". This one is not showing as having been imported.

Listing "290160673536". This one appears to have been originally listed through Vendio, then archived in Vendio, and then imported back into your Vendio account.

Nathan

Hello,

They all seem to have been from previous listings, nothign that has happened recently. It seems though as you correct the ones this happened to in the past, it should become a non-issue.

That being said, let us know as you run into these so we can make sure there are no new ones. Unfortunately whatever the reason those items were triggered as imports, we cannot switch them back from this end. We can however correct any errors if this persists, so please stay in touch as you work through the remaining items.

Regards,
Christopher

This has been a problem for several months now. It makes relisting an item much more work than it needs to be.
