OK, so its been a while since I've listed an item on Vendio. I've read up on the topics regarding this click to enlarge problem. From what I read the problem had been fixed. However, in my new listing the images all have a link below them that reads--Click to View Image Album.

IS THERE ANY WAY TO DISABLE THIS FEATURE? NAVIGATING THROUGH THE GALLERY WITH THE UP/DOWN ARROWS(IT MAKES IT LOOK LIKE THERE IS ONLY A FEW IMAGES WHEN REALLY THERE ARE A LOT OF IMAGES), CLICKING TO VIEW THE IMAGE, AND THEN HAVING TO SCROLL BACK AND FORTH ACROSS THE BOTTOM OF THE PICTURE TO SEE THE WHOLE PICTURE IS ANNOYING TO ME--I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHAT IT IS LIKE FOR AN INTERESTED BUYER? WHY NOW VENDIO?

IF THIS CANNOT BE DISABLED CAN IT BE MADE OPTIONAL--I WANT THE PAGE BACK THAT SHOWS AN ENLARGED IMAGE WITH A BACK BUTTON ON THE ENLARGED IMAGE THAT GOES BACK TO THE ORIGINAL LISTING AND PICTURES. PLEASE HELP...SOON...WAS WANTING TO LIST MORE ITEMS BUT THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

HAVE PAID PREMIUM PRICE FOR MONTHS OF INACTIVITY ONLY TO RETURN TO THIS...HOW SAD.
I LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR PROMPT REPLY AND RESOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM.

Is anyone monitoring the Vendio boards? I just need a simple yes or no--can the click to view album feature be disabled, or not? Please expedite this matter. An answer shouldn't be so hard to get...for a paid service.

Hello,

You are currently using the click-to-enlarge images, and this is the new view for the click-to-enlarge images. We can turn this off for you, but only if you are not using click-to-enlarge images.

Regards,
Nathan

Hi Nathan:
So, in other words, the old version of click-to-enlarge is no longer available. Will it ever come back, again? I do not understand why Vendio implements new features without making them optional. Or why they don't recognize the good features like the click to enlarge the way it used to be. I really don't know why this feature was ever changed when there are so many other features which could be changed to make your customers happier.

How do I go about doing away with this new feature--it really is a pain--to navigate. I have checked the reduce pictures box in my global preferences. Do I need to uncheck that box? Please remove this new album feature from my account and advise whether or not I need to uncheck the reduce pictures box in my global preferences.
Thank you,
Stufftoyou

Hello,

Your account is set so if you turn off the click-to-enlarge images the image album will no longer be on your future new listings. You may turn of the click-to-enlarge images by going to "My Account" --> "Global Preferences" --> then uncheck "Automatically scale down large images for faster download and cleaner presentation".

Please also note that we have not replied to your emails as we have answered your questions here.

Regards,
Nathan

What are Standard Images?
Standard images are fast-downloading, full size images (up to 500KB in size) that allow buyers to get a clear and accurate view of your items. Buyers can 'click to supersize' your images to get an enlarged view and see more detail; helping you capture more bids and receive higher sales prices for all of your items.

Hi Nathan:
The above came from the Vendio Help Pages. This wording may need to be revised now that you have changed this feature.

It should read--Standard images cannot be enlarged to show greater detail. Our new feature isn't very clear or accurate because we changed to a new album feature that is not user friendly, is very time consuming, confusing, etc. You will not be able to capture more bids because people will steer clear of this feature and as a result you will have lower sales and prices of your items listed with Vendio.

Come on.

This would be a more accurate description of the standard images now that this new album feature has been adopted. Please have your engineers check in to this matter and hopefully they can revert back to the previous programming by next year at this time.

Sorry, to sound so negative but this has got to be one of Vendio's biggest mistakes. Also, if the enlarged feature is no longer available in my auctions then the free supersize images advertising that is at the bottom of every Ebay listing should be removed...for one because it is not free--we pay for Vendio and two because it is no longer available. I would appreciate any feedback you may have on whether or not this new feature is here to stay.

stufftoyou,

I never thought I will be defending Vendio here but actually I really like the new gallery type of supersized pictures.

I still do not like the way my customers have to navigate back but at least they have all my pictures in one place without a need to go back to the auction to select next image.

All Vendio competitors have this feature for years but I agree, you should be able to disable it to meet your need.

Thanks,
Jack

Hi Jack:
Let me know if your sales suffer. I am pretty adept at computers and the very first time I navigated this new click to view album when I closed the screen it closed the browser. Nothing is more frustrating to a potential buyer than to search and search for the item they are looking for only to get booted and have no idea how to find the item again. The close feature for this gallery is not visible anywhere once you scroll to see the pictures...that is not good...and cannot be defended.
I have, however, worked around this new feature. I had it disabled by unselecting the resize picture feature in my global preferences. And while I no longer have enlarged images at least when someone lands on my item they won't get inadvertently booted...so I'd say this is the best solution as a seller. Too bad the old type of enlargement is gone.
Also, I used the publisher program through XP and selected medium image size for my images and this provides the needed detail without the need for the new album enlargement. I think this will work...will see with my next listing.
