I got a note from eBay saying they cannot get gallery image on item # 270223301765. The picture is gone from the auction completely although it still shows in my Vendio file. I tried adding it by revising the auction and it still will not show. What is going on here?

I just rescanned the picture, gave it a new name, uploaded it to Vendio, went to eBay revise your item, used the add a picture to put the scan on and it still will not show. Any advice?

Still cannot get picture to appear no matter what I do. Also I am still getting "error [03/26/08 15:45:32] [account_id=228896] Could not get gallery preferences from db." on the other auction I mentioned in a previous message. Some help or answers would be appreciated here. I have stuff to list and items scheduled to go on - guess I will unschedule them until I hear from you.

Hello,

For the problem you are having with your eBay gallery image, please let us know the URL that you are using to update the image through eBay.

In regards to the "error [03/26/08 15:45:32] [account_id=228896] Could not get gallery preferences from db." error, please see the reply that Chris provided yesterday shortly after you posted the question. Here is a link to that message thread:

The url is http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/jtomp/decaturaaa001_001.jpg.

I did read the previous message thread, however it answers no questions. If I go ahead and list will the gallery pictures show up? If they will not show up, when will you have this problem fixed so that I can list my items. I think these are relevant and important questions.

Hello,

The URL you had wasn't just quite right. I re-uploaded that new image of yours with the same filename as the one in the active listing (decaturaaa001_001) and it is now displaying properly in the listing.

If eBay wants to know the URL of your gallery image, the URL for the image now appearing in your ad is as follows:

http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/jtomp/decaturaaa001_001.jpg

Christopher

Thanks Christopher,
The picture has appeared. The url I had was cut and pasted from Vendio. Still no answer to the questions about gallery pictures. I hope you will let us know when this problem is solved.

Hello,

Where in your account did you cut the URL from exactly?
I checked it, and it doesn't point to a valid image.

Hi Christopher,
I believe I clicked on the box without the picture in the auction...the one that says picture unavailable, check back later. However I also rescanned, renamed, uploaded a new scan and that would not show up either. Any answer yet on the gallery problem - I am waiting to list items.

Hello Jane,

Your just talking about that 'Could not get gallery preferences from db' message mentioned in the other two threads right?

If so, thus far anyway, it hasn't had any impact on users ability to list items nor their ability to have those images appear in the eBay gallery. Were still checking on the cause, but thus far there doesn't appear to be any reason to hold off on listing because of it.

Regards,
Christopher
