Hello,

To obtain the code which contains your image URL(s), follow these steps:

1. Click the Image Hosting button.
2. Check the box next to the image(s) that you wish to select.
3. On the bottom of the page, click the "Attach" button.
4. Choose "Other Auction Site (generate HTML)", select New Auction, and click "Continue"
5. On the next page, copy and paste the entire block of HTML (which includes your image URL) into the description box of the auction listing form.

If you wish to use only the image URL, it/they will be embedded in the HTML code generated by our system. If you do not have the "click to enlarge" feature enabled, the image url will look like this:

http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/yourAWusername/yourimagefilename.jpg

If you have the "click to enlarge" feature enabled, you will need to alter the ".mids" URL to create the correct image URL. To do this, just remove the /.mids portion of the URL. Here is an example:

Before:

http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/yourAWusername/.mids/yourimagefilename.jpg

After:

http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/yourAWusername/yourimagefilename.jpg

The "after" URL can be used in any auction and can be altered to point to any image in your list simply by changing the image filename portion - just be sure that the filename *exactly* matches the filename on our site (case-sensitive.)

Christopher

Okay- All I am trying to do is to post the address to a message board to ID some collectibles- They need it in the <img src=http://www. .jpg> format

Can't this be simple?
Thanks

Hello,

To make it more simple, all of your URLs are exactly the same except for the filename part at the end.

Yours look like this:
http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/simplyuniquebargains/ttpiperMVC-615S.JPG

Note the the upper and lower case of the filename including the end (jpg) are case sensitive.

To post in the vendio forums, you would just put the [.img] URL HERE [./img] brackets around your URL like this:

[.IMG]http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/simplyuniquebargains/ttpiperMVC-615S.JPG[./IMG]

(remove the dots before the IMG of course, I only put them in so you could see the code)

Regards,
Christopher

PS - that wasn't from the FAQ's, although there is something in there that would point you in the right direction, if you go to image hosting and then read the one about posting images to existing auctiopns - it goes through the process of generating the HTML needed, which has the URL built in.

http://forums.ebay.com/db1/thread.jspa?threadID=2000550417

How do I make it be the actual image?

Thanks so much-

Hello,

There are a couple of things wrong with the link (a simple typo in the image file name, and also some missing additional information in the link). The correct link for the image is:

http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/simplyuniquebargains/whitemadeiraMVC-127S.JPG

So, you will need to use:

<img src=http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/simplyuniquebargains/whitemadeiraMVC-127S.JPG>

Regards,
Nathan

Hello,

There are a number of issues with what your trying to do.

First there is no picture in your account called 'whitemadieraMVC-127S.JPG' - so regardless of how you format the URL, or the code to make pics appear in the eBay forums, that won't work.

The good news is that your just misspelling it. (the I and the E in 'madiera' are swapped in your example.)

whitemadeiraMVC-127S.JPG is the correct filename for that picture.

That means the URL for that picture is:
http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/simplyuniquebargains/whitemadeiraMVC-127S.JPG

- then, to put it into HTML code (if thats what eBay wants for pics in their forums) it would look like this:

<img src="http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/simplyuniquebargains/whitemadeiraMVC-127S.JPG">
