Good morning. My computer was just upgraded to Windows Vista, and I need to re-download the Vendio program. I have printed out the instructions, no problem there.
My question is - I was thinking it would be a good time for me to wipe-out all of my current photos, and start fresh. A spring cleaning of sorts. I would temporarily close the store and re-do the inventory. Is this a good idea, and will it cause me a headache I don't need?

Hello Toiman,
Now would be a great chance to make a few little changes. Unless you use Sales Manager Pro due to a slow internet connection at home, now would be a good time to switch over to the Inventory Edition of the program.
It will make re-doing your inventory much quicker and easier with its bulk editing abilities - not to mention a handful of other great tools only available to this version of our web based Sales Manager.

There is no cost difference, it just has more features available to it and when your looking at starting over and re-doing your inventory, it's the best time to make a switch.

Hi, Chris. Thank you. But is this the better option for me? I do sell lots of items, but everything I sell are single pieces only, I don't have more than one of any particular item. Thanks. toiman.
This program is still really the best choice for anyone in a position to start fresh with their listing setup, as it is the one with the most features and options available to it.
Even for users selling one of a kind items, the additional tools and features you get with it is just better than some of our older original tools.
Additionally, since your running Windows Vista operating system, chances are the old Sales Manager Pro program won't run correctly on your setup.
While some vista users have been able to make it work, most have been unable to do so without running into issues with it crashing in the middle of creating batch items.
You could also just use the basic original Sales Manager that you have access to right now, found via the Sales Manager tab along the left side of your Vendio account - without changing to the inventory edition if you do not feel it would best suit your needs.
Note that while the current Sales Manager Pro does not officially support the Vista operating system, we will have a completely new offline listing program available later in the year that will offer official Vista support.
