Vendio dropped off the face of the earth about 10:40 pm last night. I was working on re-lists and when I was almost done, I hit a brick wall and could not access your site anymore. Couldn't even get to this area to make a complaint. I notice you show no problem on this board or in your announcements. I just want to let you know that you did disrupt AT LEAST ONE person's work and am hoping that whatever problem you were having has been completly resolved.

The first thing that started to show an impending problem was when I was saving the relist was I kept getting the message "No cis object found; no cis details written". The relists I managed to do before this started, DID launch properly, but I was unable to finish until today.

The very same thing happened to me on Tuesday night. Was having trouble with CIS not coming through so got the BRILLIANT idea to sign out and clear my cookies and cache...then I couldn't sign in again for several hours. Vendio responded in a thread I started but said it was fixed - guess not if it happened to you on Wednesday night.

I think we should all send Vendio some Band-Aids to keep the system patched and running. Apparently, they have run out.

All my listings are showing error message:

Error 240: The item cannot be listed or modified.

* The item cannot be listed or modified. The title and/or description may contain improper words, or the listing or seller may be in violation of eBay policy.

I re-listed several items to see if the error continues ONLY to discover that all auctions went thru and I have duplicate auctions on eBay.

I don't think Band-Aids will solve the problem. We need to call 911 and request AED (Automated External Defibrillator).

Hello Jack,

History has never shown items that eBay kick back with error 240 to actually post anyway, and we are really sorry to hear this happened to yours.

Please let us know a few effected items to check into further for you. Items that kick back with the dreaded 240 message (a default one eBay uses for a number of items) can usually be deciphered further by doing an eBay preview on the item and checking the top of the preview page. (where you would usually get a more accurate reply from them, such as warnings about using the word bidpay, or temporary account limitations/etc)

Regards,
Chris

(Note also this would have nothing to do with the custom item specific issue that happened for a brief time on the 24th.)

Hello,

It does look like you will need to remove bidpay from your 'Custom Payment Note' in your Global Preferences. This is what has caused some of the items to fail to list to eBay.

Please let us know about the items that posted even though they show this error message in your errors page, as those should not have been accepted if eBay returned them with this error.

Regards,
Chris

Christoper,
I will remove Bidpay reference from my auctions but all my auctions were listed on eBay. I understand that Vendio is reporting what eBay is transmitting but you can compare error date/time with my actual listings o eBay.

In any case, I need to remove Bidpay regardless of the situation.

Thanks,
Jack

Hello Jack,

The one that I used as a sample/test that night didn't actually list, so if you have any left that you know for sure did and showed that error 240 please let us know so we can dig into it a little further for you and make sure there aren't any other issues to worry about.

Regards,
Chris
