Why are the Image Hosting minimum fees higher on my invoices than what's listed on the Plan Info pages?

Ex. 55 mb Plan: Info says minimum fee is 9.95, invoice says (and I was charged) 14.95

Ex. 5 mb plan: Info says minimum fee is 4.95, invoice says (and I was charged) 9.95

Why am I charged more than the fees listed???

Hello,

As outlined in our fees policy, image hosting plans are subscription based. Subscription fees will be applied regardless of usage unless you request cancellation or disable the plan under My Account -> My Service Plans. When your image storage exceeds the amount designated in your current plan, you will be automatically bumped up to the next plan level, so as not to interrupt workflow. If you were bumped up to a higher level plan, it is because your storage increased to a point that it exceeded the amount allowed under your previous plan. Your plan would remain at this level until you deleted enough images to shift the plan back down, which you would need to do manually.

Once you delete your images and empty the Recycle Bin, you can adjust your plan under My Account -> My Service Plans -> Image Hosting (see other plans.) You will be able to tell how much storage you're using on the Image Hosting page.

Please note that you will be billed for peak storage during any billing cycle, meaning that if you adjust your plan downward you will be billed under the higher plan until the next billing cycle.

You may review your Vendio statement here:

https://secure.vendio.com/my/acct/statements.html

This can be found under My Account -> Online Statements.

If you want to view prior months, please click the corresponding date under Billing History. Statements are paginated, and you can find subsequent pages on the bottom of the statement. Note that we retain 24 months worth of statements for your records, and that you can download your statements into a .csv file.

If you have additional questions after reviewing your statement, please let us know.

Regards,
Nathan

Thank you for that information.

However, my current account status (for August) says:
Image Hosting Plan:
Image Hosting Plan: 5 MB
Current Peak Usage: 4.94MB
Monthly Minimum: $9.95

Since I haven't gone above the 5MB, shouldn't I be charged $4.95?

Is there a way to disable automatic bumping up of the image hosting plan? Personally I'd rather get an error message or have to confirm the bump-up since it's not convenient to keep a continual eye on the storage used while uploading.

Hello,

On July 5th at 8:36am your image storage increased to 5.40MB, and your plan was increased to the 55MB plan at that time. On July 27th you lowered the plan to the 5MB plan. It is not possible to disable the automatic bump up.

Regards,
Nathan

Nathan -
Your explanation applies to July.
The numbers I listed above apply to August.
The current information shows that I have not exceeded 5mb in August, yet the minimum charge is listed as $9.95

Hello,

Your billing period ends on the 24th of each month. On the 24th of July you were subscribed to the 55MB plan. Your next billing period will begin on the 24th of August.

Nathan

This is all so confusing.

So why was I charged 14.95 for July? I certainly didn't go over 55 mb and I don't even see a plan for that price.

Can we move this conversation off the board to email?

thanks

Hello,

Sure, we prefer to deal with these via email anyway when billing information is concerned. Feel free to email the billing department anytime via the help link.

Regards,
Chris
