first of all, thank you for the prompt reply. I just listed my 1st item with the new format.
I do not know why you did not keep the old form and add the shipping/insurance stuff to be filled in. WHY?
1. Is Sales Manager more expensive than just Image Hosting? I kinda remember it was an upgrade years ago and I didn't really need a Sales Manager program and wont use the added features so back then I signed up and then got out because it just wasn't adviseable.
2. If it is more expensive there is no way I can still use just Image hosting?
3. Please take a moment and see the reponse that "DJ Perdue" sent me. If he/she had access to my account as you do, why didn't DJ say I had to go to Sales manager versur the "we have set a launch rule...". What the heck is that? To show me Geek Squad bona fides?
Thanks again for your 1st reply and an answer to the above.

Hello dietra,

There are a lot of users writing in asking about how to deal with this issue and on the surface, we can't really tell what your using to list with as you have always had access to the Sales Manager - you just opted not to use it.

Since your on the Pay as you Go plan for the Sales Manager, you simply haven't paid for it lately as you haven't been using it lately.

We really don't have many users listing on the old form anymore, as many are posting to categories with Item Specifics or other new eBay requirements that the old original listing form just cannot support.

If we were to revise the old image hosting form to handle all of the new eBay requirements, it would look just like the Sales Manager your using now - as it would have to be so you could list using the eBay API and enable all of the new shipping details, return policy, and other upcoming changes eBay is planning to make.

On the My Account page there is a link to 'My Service Plans' which will break down your costs for using the Sales Manager to list your auctions.

You can still just use the image hosting by itself, you just won't be able to use that old generic listing form to submit the items to eBay. We do have a number of users that just host images here, but they either post their auctions and use the image hosting page to append images to their ads after the fact, or use the option in image hosting to generate the HTML code needed to paste into the item description field at whatever listing tool they are using. (most likely just listing at eBay directly if they sell in low volumes.)

Note also that since you signed up a while back and still have the Sales Manager plan on file from then, your grandfathered into the old pricing. This means your Sales Manager fees count as a credit towards your image hosting costs. You have been paying XXX a month for just image hosting, and depending on your volume chances are you will end up paying about the same for the Sales Manager and end up getting the image hosting for free.

Let us know if you have any other questions about this.

Regards,
Chris
