I simply could not relist an item tonight, after trying to read eBay's mind and getting error 240 consistently. I see a thread further down, here, that explains that error as something to do with PayPal. I've been registered with PayPal for 9 years with no problems listing items on eBay. Is there another answer for error 240?

I'm listing through Sales Manager and assume the error is coming from eBay. . . .

It's disgusting that we can't get a straight answer when we've been "naughty listers." ~Adele

Hello,

Error 240 is a generic message code eBay uses for a lot of different issues. The trick to seeing exactly which issue it is - is to do an eBay preview.

I checked your account and it looks like the error is coming up due to the mention of 'bidpay' in your listings.

You will need to remove this word before relisting your items back to eBay, as if they don't catch them this time around, they will next time. (they are slowly trying to filter out any usage of this term.)

Go to the My Account page and click the Custom Listing Text link found within to make your needed changes.

Regards,
Chris
