Could you educate me about how to use the Best Offer feature? I decided to use it for the first time and found I could not enable it and didn't know if I figured out to enable it, would I have to use it for everything in that catagory. Your help would be appreciated.

Hello,

The Best Offer option is just above your Ship To location on the Sales Manager listing form. You will see it greyed out when your doing auctions, but available to use when you are doing fixed price listings.

The option is set on a listing by listing basis, so enabling it for the item your working on will only have an effect on that particular listing.

Regards,
Chris

Also, if you go to the My Account page > eBay Item Specifics, in the eBay Item Specifics
there is a section to enable Best Offers.

It reads "If you are selling Fixed Price listings in certain eBay categories you can opt for accepting alternative offers (Best Offers) from buyers. Check 'Enable Best Offers' below to enable this feature by default when creating listings. If Best Offers are enabled, you can opt also for automatic responding to Best Offers for the new listings (notice that the options below will only enable this feature by default in the new listings, but will NOT override the settings specified per listing). Offers will not be accepted automatically if the buyer has included a message to seller."
Then there is a check box to enable Best Offers whenever possible.

I think this may be what toyspast is referring to.

It appears that if you enable it on your site specifics, as above, you would have to use it in all FP and Store listings unless you un-check it.
But if you check off Best Offer in each individual listing, as Chris says, you get to pick and choose which items get the Best Offer option.

Which way you choose to enable the option would depend on if you want to use Best Offer all the time or sometimes.

I can locate Best Offer at ebay Site Specifics in My Account. However, I am unable to locate anything similar to Chris's post. I find nothing on my Sales Manager form from which to list an item as Best Offer."

Hello Bill,

First you will want to set the item up as a Fixed Price listing at the top of the listing form.

(note this is in the Sales Manager listing form, where you click the eBay icon under the heading 'create listing.)

Next, scroll down to just before your 'ship to' locations and look for the following:
