I went into Global Preferences to eliminate my Money Order options and could not find the return policy or returns accepted? I don't want to have to do more revisions in the future-

Does Vendio support this?

Hello Annette,

Yes! You may enter your return policy into Vendio by going to "My Account" --> "eBay" (below "Site Specifics" ) --> scroll down to the bottom of the page and enter the information. Be sure to select the box for "Returns Accepted". Then your return policy will be added as a default for your future new listings.

I would also recommend checking the box in this section for "Apply these settings when launching listings that have no Return Policy details specified". Note that if you are relisting an item, and you edit it in any way, you will need to manually add the return policy. Otherwise it will automatically be added.

Regards,
Nathan

Thanks Nathan-

Now- how about our Good til Cancelled Store items. Will they re "hit" this information before relaunching for another 30 days?

I ask this because I have noticed that whenever I have to edit a Good til Cancelled Store item- after it relists for 30 days it reverts back to the original auction that was launched by vendio rather than the edited auction.

Thanks
Annette

Hello Annette,

Changes that you make in Vendio will not change your already active Good 'Til Canceled listings. When Vendio sends a GTC listing to eBay, it renews through eBay (not through Vendio). If revisions that you are making to your GTC listings through eBay are not sticking, please contact eBay and they should be better able to help you with this.

Nathan

Thanks- Now I understand why we need to use the CSV on eBay to do the bulk revisions-

One more question. I edited my Account eBay specifics - Return Policy and tried to refresh my pending auctions before I scheduled them and it is not showing the changes. I did double check that I saved it on the My Account page-

Please advise--
Thanks
Annette

Hello Annette,

The changes that you make to your return policy will only apply to completely new listings that were created after the changes were made. For your active listings, you would need to revise them through eBay. For your listings that were already pending, you would need to revise them through Vendio (by selecting them to edit and scrolling down to the Return Policy section) prior to listing. Note that if the pending listing is scheduled, you will need to unschedule it before you can edit it.

Nathan

Forgive me if this is asked/answered elsewhere, but my head's about to explode so I'll try to tie in here:

If we are NOT going to accept returns (except in rare cases), do we still check that "returns accepted" box?

I wrote my policy out (and eBay does acknowledge that "no returns" is an acceptable return policy) .... but I hate to check that box because of its wording.

If it said "Return Policy" instead, I'd be comfortable about it.

Anyway, you get my drift. Do I have to check it to be in compliance whenever they require compliance?

Thanks,
Kathy

Hello Kathy,

At this point you would need to either check the box that returns are accepted, or not have the return policy show in the listings. We are working on a solution for those that do not offer returns. Please note that like the handling time requirement, eBay has also pushed back the return policy requirement deadline to January.

Nathan

I hope that this does not mean that offering the handling time through Vendio will also be pushed back.

I had already revised all my auctions for full compliance, but for weeks now I have been also revising each newly launched store/fixed price GTC item to reflect a handling time, so that I would not have to figure out which are or are not showing a handling time down the road. With the original "sometime in October" deadline for handling, I was counting down the days to no longer having to do this.

Please tell me that it will not be long till we have this.
Thanks,
Susan

Hello Susan,

As far as I am aware this is not affecting our release of support for this feature. I do not have a specific eta available, but it should be soon.

Nathan

Where is the box for handling time?

I have looked all over and cannot find it. I am about to manually fix all my auctions (2,000+ items), and mwant to do everything at once.

I have talked with my eBay rep (many times), and eBay was supposed to add a no retruns options box (early Sept.) for this new returns box.

I spoke to him again today and they still have not added it.

aaronandelise - there is no 'handling time' field available at this time. It is being worked on currently, but we have no ETA available at this time.

As with the return policy, it will be made available to default 'on' when live and prior to eBay requiring the field (they have since pushed this back to after the holidays, sometime in Jan.)

Regards,
Chris
