Ok, here is the situation, i changed my user name on ebay. At some point in time i had signed up with AW using this name, but never used the account. Meanwhile I got an AW account with the previous ebay name. Now that i have changed my ebay name, i try to edit my auction user id in AW, and I get the message:
We were unable to process your request because of the following problem:

The user ID you have provided is already stored in another AuctionWatch.com account. Please insert other user ID and try again.

The other account they are speaking of was mine and i had them cancel it, however they obviously didn't delete the name. I have contacted them, but i never seem to get a response. It is causing me a real mess as far as auctions go. Please help. THANKS.

I am having basically the same problem. I opened a new account with auctionwatch yesterday and deleted my ebay id in my old Auctionwatch account. I the tried to add my ebay id to the new AW account and it says that I can't because it is already in use by another user. I emailed yesterday asking if the was a quick fix to this or how long it would take to be able to add my ebay id to my new account. I would greatly appreciate if someone would tell me how to add my ebay id and at this point cancel my old AW account. Also how to I go about changing my id within the Salesmanager Pro?

Hello,

To cancel the old account, send an email to [email protected] to formally request account closure. Please include the account name and the email address of the account, if it is not the one you are writing from.

Let me know the name of your eBay ID and I will store it in your current account for you.

Regards,

Sonya

Sonya,

Thanks for all the help. Everything is up and running correctly. On a related subject I know I have to have a seprate AW id for each ebay id. Do I also need to have a seperate SMPro. I noticed when I changed everything over to my new AW id I had to redo some of my preferences and all of my pics are no longer in the SMPro. Not a big deal but if I wanted to use 2 ids this could be a real pain. Thanks for the help and let me know what is the easiest way to have and use 2 ebay ids.

Hi Jim,

The easiest way is to install two different copies of SMPro on your computer. If you still have the install kit for Pro you can use that one to install the 2nd one.

Now what you need to do is install the program into separate locations. The first copy is installed into "C:\Program Files\" folder by default. You will need to create a unique file folder for each additional copy that is to be installed. You may create these folders wherever you like on your hard drive, but be sure to name the files so that you will easily be able to find them later.

Run the installer for Sales Manager Pro, when the prompt comes up asking you where to install it, select and install to default ( "C: \Program Files\ " ). After this is done, run the installer again, and install it to the alternate location you have selected ( C: \AuctionWatch\eBay_id is an example. )

At this point, you should have two AuctionWatch icons on the desktop, rename one of them so that you will be able to differentiate it from the other.

Now you should have 2 working copies of SM Pro, one for each of your IDs. Simply launch the copy you want via your labeled icons for the ID you want to work on listings for. Let us know if you have any further questions.

Regards,

Sonya
