Hi,

There are two issues that I have had with your service that have not been addressed.

1) When working on a Macintosh Computer, some parts of your service is slow, Very slow... I have complained about this before, but have been told I was wrong. I notice it, my friend who uses Macs exculsively noticed it to the point that he dropped your service because it was taking him longer to start his auctions using your service then it would if he did each auction by hand.

2) I use Second Chance all the time, I would love it if you would find some way of bringing it into your service. Are there plans to do this? I would like to integrate the second chance sales with my post sales from auctions, and I do not want to have to manually add them.

Hi Dejapooh,

What browser are you using and what version is it? Using the latest version of IE for Macs should work. If you let us know what your set up is, we can try to duplicate the problems you are experiencing.

Right now we do not support second chance listings. You can use the Import feature to get them in your account -- this way when they close, you can use post sale on them. The trick to this is to import right after making the offer so that it's there in active, before the bidder purchases the item.

I am using a Mac 333 with 64 Meg and IE 5.1.6. I've tried this on a new G4 with both netscape and IE, with the same problems. I've been told this all before and it still takes me between a minute and 5 minutes to connect a picture to a new auction.

The point of my second question is that I do not want to have to do the second chance by hand and then import them, hoping that I can import them before my customer buys it. Worse is that to hand list my second chance auctions costs me $.10 to use a picture from an auctoin I've already listed (sometimes a picture I've used and thus paid for several times over). I wouldn't even mind the Dime if it went toward my 50 listings a month at $.10 each.

Hi Dejapooh,

We have tested this from our end and cannot replicate the problem. What is your ISP? You might want to contact them and mention the problem, to see if they are having trouble connecting up with us.

I have logged your suggestions on Second Chance listings for Product Development.

Sonya

Funny thing that... I am using a T1 connection through my work and my friend with a G4 uses AOL dial-up (I believe). We both have this trouble no matter what Mac we use, no matter how we connect. When I try to add a picture to an auction listing the computer grinds to a stop for 30 seconds to a minute while it adds the picture to the form. The computer's clock will not move, I can not switch to another program or another browser. I've used 3 or 4 different kinds of Mac's with Dial up, T1, ISDN, and DSL, and I've always had this problem. I can upload scans easily enough, usually I scan and upload, Write and email to my home computer the item descriptions and use that with my PC to start up my auctions. It would be much nicer if I could get my macs to work at work as well.
