Hi. My customized auto mailer went out with the default phrase: "Your payment for the item ....for ($$$$) was received...and the item has been shipped... or similar--- and I noticed that the total was only the auction bid, not the paid total. Returning to edit/customize there was only 1 html tag listed for price and no html tag for an option to reflect what the customer actually paid, so the post sale mailers do not integrate with checkout. The bid amount and mailer info therefore said $7.00, but with shipping etc. the customer actually paid $10.50.
Can you provide us with an html tag that we can use instead of the bid price html tag to insert in the 'payment received' auto mailer that pulls in the checkout total they actually paid? Or will that have to be edited manually auction by auction every time?

Hi Sonya. I only have one sold closed auction: 3211499657, but it doesn't matter --this is not necessarily a malfunction. The mailers are working fine as pre-programmed.
The available html tags AW gives for custom editing our mailers do not include a tag for final invoiced checkout total--only closing price which is the final auction bid. Here is a copy of the html tags that are given to us on our edit screens as options we can add to automatically pull in AW-generated data for all our post sale mailer defaults:

%%Winner%%
%%Title%%
%%AuctionId%%
%%CloseDate%%
%%ClosePrice%%
%%MyName%%
%%MyAddress%%
%%MyEmail%%
%%Site%%

It would be nice if checkout automatically integrated with post sale mailers, but it is not necessary--an html tag for those of us who use checkout would work just as well. We need a tag to place the final invoiced total in our default edits for only those mailers that were sent after checkout, leaving unchanged the tag for %%ClosePrice%% in the mailers before checkout is completed (e.g. WBNs). An additional tag available for after checkout is over would fix it (i.e. so any/all of the post checkout automailer defaults could say "Thank you for your payment of %%CheckoutTotal%%..." instead of "Thank you for your payment of %%ClosePrice%%..."

Hello,

I see what you are saying now -- you are referring to identifiers. I will log a suggestion with Product Development to add an extra modifier. The only other workaround is to edit them individually, and send them manually -- you can add in the total that way.

Thanks Sonja. Sorry I didn't know to call them "identifiers" in AW jargon. I realized I should have edited as soon as I got my copy of the mailer that went out. But that takes yet another mailer out of the automated category, and why edit one by one if a tag already exists out there just for the asking?
Please email me when it is available. Automated sale processes are only a benefit when they are automated. When lots of little things have to be manually edited or re-done constantly one by one, they add up really fast and it can get to be a complicated drudge instead of a real timesaver.
