I almost lost a sale yesterday because a customer was not sure if I took Paypal and she wanted to use B.I.N. as she needed the item by the weekend.

I went back and checked my auctions, and low and behold, all the auctions I am launching from AW do not say Paypal as a method of payment at the top right under my name. (I have since gone in and manually changed everything and my auctions did say Paypal at the bottom, it was the top that was not)I checked the Global and Ebay preferences and everything was set wherever it said "Paypal." I've also just checked a few of my friend's auctions and their's are doing the same thing.

Is this a glitch or what? I am hoping someone from AW will look at my settings, because last night my auctions launched and they did not have paypal as a method of payment at the top under the seller name, I just went in and manually changed it.

Hi Sabreena,

You can get PayPal in that red payment text, however you have to accept the logo up at the top as well. Doing this means that eBay will insert a "Pay Now" button at the top of your closed listing. This button will take the winning bidder through eBay's checkout process (this option is unfortunately the only way that you can include PayPal in the list of payment options in red at the top of your listing.)

To set this up, go to the "Payment Types Accepted" section of My Account -> Seller Preferences. Select "Include the PayPal Checkout button and logo" in your listings. If you use Sales Manager Pro these online preferences will apply to listings created offline as well.

If you do not want to use eBay's checkout, and you would like to guide your customers to use your preferred checkout method, you can enable the AuctionWatch Checkout button which will appear in the listing once it has closed. For more information on this, please refer to this link:

Sonia,
Can AW relook at this? You can list directly from Ebay to say "Paypal" as well as "money orders" etc. in red at the top without a logo or link to pay. Because the way my auctions are launching now,it shows the other payment options there in red and it may initially look like the seller does not accept paypal which may hinder a sale.

It's real cumbersome to go in and change each auction after they launch and I really do not want the logo and payment link there.
Thanks.

Hello,

The process is exactly the same. You can get the red PayPal logo at the top when listing from here, just as you can via eBay, but in both cases, when the auction closes, there *will* be a 'pay now' button leading directly to PayPal for that listing.

Listing the item from here or eBay directly, and including the PayPal option in red at the top does this, and unfortunately there is no way to stop it from either location at this time.
