When buyer goes to check out screen on auction watch, will there be a section with my address if person wants to send money order? Or do I have to edit my WBN? I have checked money order on my personal preferences, I assume that paypal will be there because I have checked this.

Also is there a place to look and see what full check out will look like to customer with all my settings?

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris,

If your customer chooses money order, your address will be visible for payment. If you need to edit it -- go to My Account > Personal Information, as that is the address that will appear.

You can view the checkout as the customer sees it by going to any set of PSM keys in Post Sale, and clicking the link called "go to buyer checkout".

I hope this helps.

Sonya

I also have 2 Checkout questions.

1) When I go to the "Go to Buyer Checkout" option in post sale for a given item, my store logo and byline show at the top but not the rest of the storefront part such as the tabs for Home, Shop, About, Contact... etc. Can the customer see those and access them even though I cannot on my preview? I ask because it affects how I write my welcome text instructions for navigating the site.

2) Checkout seems to provide only one shipping method pull down menu and an option for insurance. I also offer a cheaper tracking option than insurance so I can meet my Paypal tracking requirements when the customers don't feel they need full insurance. Until now I have included it as one of the shipping methods, but it doesn't seem to be showing in the pull down menu and I guess they wouldn't be able to select it anyway because they need to select postage there or there won't be any postage. How do we get additional items present in the checkout for customers to add. If they can't add it, I either have to pay it myself, or stop taking paypal. How do I instruct them in the WBN so they can pay?

Thanks again, bunches!

Hi Passsedtothepresent,

The tabs will not show on the checkout page -- just your storefront logo and byline.

If you have another insurance method, you could add a Postage + Insurance method as one of your custom shipping fields. This is the only workaround if you want to have two insurance options available.

Thanks Sonya!!!

I've changed my text to accomodate the no visible tabs. I have had the "Tracking w/o Insurance" and the $1.00 fee progammed in as my 3rd custom shipping option (which I now see should have been the postage plus the $1)so I took it out, but that was not coming up as an option even when I had it there on the preview thru the go to 'buyer checkout' and hit the checkout button (not all bad or they could have chosen to get the whole deal for only a dollar!)

-- If I redo that shipping catagory for 'Postage + Tracking Only' and put in the total, will it appear in the roll down menu? Any idea why it wasn't showing up before (albeit with an erroneous amount)?

--Is there any way to edit/add that option for checkout in the auctions I already have sold and listed? It won't help to edit my WBN until it's there in the checkout options. Since it is in Global Preferences, would I have to do that directly at ebay for each listing in addition to changing my Global Preferences with AW? Is there any editing hope for my one auction where the customer has not checked out yet before she gets the WBN reminder tomorrow?

Thanks in advance!
