I haven't put up auctions in a long while..I have one ready to go...I am using my own site for picture hosting...so I have the picture code in the body of my auction as Sonya recommended... Also, I want a picture in the gallery ... when I go to launch, a message comes back in the area of the gallery that says NOT SELECTED..I don't see a place to place a gallery html of the picture...HELP

Hello vintagevintage,

In order to submit an image to the Gallery, the image must be uploaded to our site. If you are embedding your own images, you can just upload the one image that you want in the Gallery so that you can launch the item with a Gallery image selected. There is no additional cost for image hosting from our site as long as you use Sales Manager to list your items.

Thanks,

Diana

Hi Diana. I am also awaiting a response from AW engineering via Christopher in an earlier thread on how to get imbedded images in my AW gallery. When you said "Gallery" in the post above, did you mean AW gallery or eBay gallery? I offered in a second post in the other theme about my dilemma that I was willing to submit a second image, but never got a response. I upload via SmPro and all my images are hosted by AW but I use embedded layouts. The images arrive in image hosting and the auctions, but the images are not loading into my online inventory or AW gallery. The one case where it did load into the inventory, it also made it into my AW gallery also.
Do you by any chance have any ideas on this--it seems like it has been a week since I have heard any more on this.

Hi Passedtothepresent,

This is actually a different issue than yours. I will check on the issue you posted about recently -- if you did use Attach Image, it would appear in the bottom of the embedded template and it should go into the gallery then but let me double check.

Regards,

Sonya

Thanks Sonya--that would be fabulous!! But I could only get that to work with the blank template where the images are defaulted to go to the bottom. I don't think the embedded layout has such a default--I think it only pulls in the image host html and there is no default to attach an image to (I'm pretty sure I already tried that). Maybe your idea is an easy solution for engineering--- if the same html code for the image defaults was added to the embedded template that is already attached to the blank template it would work. My images are sitting in AW imagehosting before I list and the html is rolled in with my pasted html--it would be no big deal to also click the image attach feature at the same time.
