For the first time ever, I'd like to add a gallery image to an auction, but I'm having trouble doing it.
In the Revise Auction form, there's a window to do this. It has "http://" already there. I've attempted to type in the URL after that bit that's already there, as I do when I'm showing a picture in a message board, but it doesn't work. In the message boards, of course, I have [img} and [/img] before and after the URL.
(I have the same problem trying to post a picture in a message board over at Ebay, too.
If the picture name, in AW, is "eggcups2.jpg", I wonder if someone could tell me EXACTLY what to type, completely, to add a gallery picture!?

Hello Roadsmith,
In order to obtain the correct URL for the gallery image, open the full-size image from your Image Hosting page by clicking on the image file name link (your Image Hosting page can be accessed by clicking the Manage Images link within Sales Manager, or by clicking the Image Hosting tab.)

Hello Roadsmith,
Actually I was missed a bit of information. After doing the above. Place your pointer/cursor over the image and right-click. Open "properties" and copy and paste the URL from the properties box into the Gallery correction form if you are using Internet Explorer, or click "copy image location" then paste the URL into the Gallery correction form on eBay if you are using Netscape.
Note that the URL obtained using this method will work for correcting your Gallery image, however, it should not be used in listings. This URL will not reset the image deletion flag, so it will not prevent your image from being deleted after 90 days even if it is actively being used in an auction.
Here is the image url you should see.

Tara: Your revised suggestions worked! Thank you very much. I don't have Internet Explorer, but click on "copy image location" did just fine. This pasted nicely into a Antiques Discussion Board message I wanted to post.
I decided not to change the auction I was originally talking about, since a first bid had appeared.
Then I pasted this into the AW Ebay Outlook for a thread I started. Just had to add at beginning and end.
BRIAN: Try Tara's system. It sounds much simpler than yours! Good luck.
