Hi all! I am attempting to upload my stored logo image into an eBay storefront, as well as, uploading an image into eBay *ME* page ~ all of which does not work the same as uploading an image into an auction. I did click *other auction site - generate html* and cut and pasted the boxed code *as is* and pasted it into the proper box on the eBay form. No luck! Is this something I can do with AW's image hosting? Would appreciate help in figuring this out or finding an alternative. Much thanks in advance. Linda

Hello KarmaTao,

If I understand you correctly you are trying to use an image which is hosted by AuctionWatch in your eBay store, so what you are looking for is the url that is used for that particular image, correct? If so here are the directions for obtaining the url of a image.

To obtain the code which contains your image URL(s), follow these steps:

1. Click the Image Hosting tab.
2. Check the box next to the image(s) that you wish to select.
3. On the bottom of the page, click the "Attach" button.
4. Choose "Other Auction Site (generate HTML)", select New Auction, and click "Continue"
5. On the next page, copy and paste the entire block of HTML (which includes your image URL) into the description box of the auction listing form.

If you wish to use only the image URL, it/they will be embedded in the HTML code generated by our system. If you do not have the "click to enlarge" feature enabled, the image url will look like this:

http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/yourAWusername/yourimagefilename.jpg

If you have the "click to enlarge" feature enabled, you will need to alter the ".mids" URL to create the correct image URL. To do this, just remove the /.mids portion of the URL. Here is an example:

Before:

http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/yourAWusername/.mids/yourimagefilename.jpg

After:

http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/yourAWusername/yourimagefilename.jpg

The "after" URL can be used in any auction and can be altered to point to any image in your list simply by changing the image filename portion - just be sure that the filename *exactly* matches the filename on our site (case-sensitive.)

Thank you Tara for your reply. I followed your instructions to the letter as I did understand the concept and was initially leery of copying only the part of the url I needed because of the warning not to do so. I opened my eBay storefront this morning and my logo DID NOT go in. Don't know what to do next as I am limited in knowledge at this point. Has this process been successful for other users? Of course I realize that this could be an eBay problem. Any help would be appreciated. Namaste`, Linda

Hello,

What's the address to your eBay store? You don't have an eBay account stored with us so I am not able to find it.

Regards,

Sonya
