Why is it that "Paypal" is not listed in the list of payment types available for my auctions, though in Global Preferences "PayPal" has a checkmark next to it?

I believe this to be a bug of some kind, as when I previously had selected "Include the paypal checkout button and logo in my listings" paypal was listed as a payment type in my auctions. When I changed this to "Include only the PayPal logo in my listing (recommended)" then Vendio removed "Paypal" from the list of payment types in all of my auctions. See "before" and "after" below.
-----------------
BEFORE:
Payment: PayPal, money order/cashiers check, personal check, Visa/MasterCard, Discover, or American Express.

AFTER:
Payment: money order/cashiers check, personal check, Visa/MasterCard, Discover, or American Express.
------------------

Paypal is still selected in my global preferences.

Please advise.

Thanks
Jeff

Hi Kildes,

If you want PayPal to appear there you will have to go to your Global Preferences and select the 2nd option for Paypal. It inserts PayPal in the red text, as well as adds another PayPal logo above your listing. The downside of this is, if you are not an eBay Checkout user -- it will insert a Pay Now button upon close of auction which ultimately leads the winner through eBay Checkout.

The reason we have them separated is that the first option, which inserts only the logo in the listing, allows you to use your own checkout methods (whether it be Vendio checkout or another form of checkout) because the option that adds it into the text forces a Pay Now button in your listings no matter what.

Regards,

Sonya

Sonya - I wish that Vendio could do something about this, as I do not want my customers to use paypal checkout, but I do not want to lose bidders who would like to pay by paypal but do not see paypal listed under payment types accepted.

Hi,

Unfortunately, it is't up to us.
eBay made it work this way once they bought PayPal.

Why doesn't VD work with Ebay to incorporate the VD/PayPal check out together??? We live in year 2003 and everyone acts like they are trying to creat the world. Everything thing is accessible, just takes someone to initiate the game. VD has has the avenue to Ebay/PayPal, but for some reason does not make it simple to facilitate the sellers. This really is not rocket Science work. Common Sense. Unless Ebay wants to cut VD out of the picture all together. That I can see. Ebay is goin to offer a picture service to support it's sellers to eliminate the auction services. We just have to bide our time. VD needs to see the writing on the wall.
