On several occasions I have deleted all my images. Ilook in my images to make sure they all are gone. I then make sets or change backgrounds or in general "freshen up" my stock and take new pics. I spent 2 hrs retaking the pics and guess what? Between image uploads I verified that the pics looked good... no blurrys or other problems. Everything was going good. I opened sales pro, synced and ole the old pics are back/ This happens 1 out of 10 times and I get so frusterated when it does. Any suggestions?

Good morning MTAKAMI2,

When you are deleting your images are you deleting them in Sales Manager or Sales Manager Pro?

Cheers,

Tara

I delete them in sales manager. Manage images. It will show them all gone. I check before I start working again to verify that they are all gone. I did it this am. Deleted all but #'s 1-9. Retook about 60 pics numbered 10-79. Everything looked great. All pics numbered showed up, I opened sales pro to sync the pics and upload things to my store. It synced but retained all the deleted pics and did not add but half of the new ones.

MTAKAMI2,

I believe what is happening is that you have deleted images in Sales Manager (online). Then you open up Sales Manager Pro (offline) which would still contain all the images which you have just deleted online. Since you are syncing when you open up Sales Manager Pro all images which are in Pro sync up to what is Online. When you first open Pro it asks if you would like to sync. I would suggest that you say no to syncing and then delete the images you no longer wish to use in Pro. Once you have done this you can then sync and all the new images which you have uploaded will then appear in Pro.

Hope this helps. Let us know if we can further assist.

Tara

Wouldn't it just be simpler to have Pro synch at startup and just make the neccessary adjustments in pictures? Seems a waste of time to have to delete both online and in pro before you can do anything.

I was under the impression that if I deleted 50 pictures from my 5000 then they would be deleted in Pro when I synched.

Conversely if my work comp added pictures, they would add automatically when I synch with home computer. Err....which it does.

This is a real headache when you are dealing with 1,000s (literally) of pictures like I normally do.

Update.........interesting word.

Sales Pro usually does the job right. It's just the one in 10 times that it does'nt work I have paid to upload a batch of pics, now I have to delete them again and start over. More work, more money and oh so frusterating. It takes the wind out of your sails. I planned on adding 400 items this am. It's almost midnight and I still have'nt done it! I've duplicated items on Ebay when I did'nt catch it in the past. It's a glitch that really needs a fix. Otherwise what's the point of syncing? It's supposed to update all the files, not change them back to the old. The new pics I put in manage images were replaced with my old ones that I had just deleted.
