I am wondering if there is someway to use HTML to write into my description which picture I want ipix to use for the gallery image and top left image on my auction page.
my reason for this is that i have just created a banner picture that i use in my auction, and i like to have it show before the picture of my actual item for sale. but since the banner is my first picture, i can't have my second picture be the gallery and top left picture too. i want to have the picture at the top of my auction hosted by ipix. i think that is an important feature. basically, i want ipix to use my second image. is there anyway to use html to get ipix to do that for me?

Hello,

I don't believe that there is any way to make the iPIX picture the second picture in the auction. Our solution is somewhat of a workaround because the eBay API does not support this feature yet, so there are some limitations. You might want to contact eBay and ask them to include this in their API so that we can allow more flexibility with this feature.

Thanks,

Diana

thanks for your quick reply, but do you think you guys, vendio, will be able to host the top and bottom small pics at some point, rather than ipix? i am not pleased with the scaled down size on the gallery image.
thanks
sarah

Unfortunately, the iPIX hosting of the top-left and bottom pictures is imposed by eBay, and as far as I know there is no way around it.

Thanks,

Diana

eBay is talking about supporting the upper picture through 3rd party providers (such as Vendio) by the fall.

Right now there is no way to differentiate the Gallery image, upper left image, & 1st image. I don't know if future enhancements to this new feature will change that.

I've been evaluating the new upper image. Originally I liked the idea, but I think I've changed my mind since there is no way to differentiate the image and the link underneath it skips past the description.

There is a lot of discussion regarding this topic on the eBay message boards.

Good Luck,
