I just launched my auction using Sales Manager. Here's what I noticed:

1. In My Account>Seller Preferences I specified a "custom shipping and handling note." It is not showing up on my auction.

2. I specified a "custom payment note" but it isn't showing up in my auction either.

3. On eBay's "Shipping and payment details" the text says the costs will be specified later. I have entered the amount (fixed) I wish to charge, why is this worded this way?

4. On eBay's "Shipping and payment details" the "Payment methods accepted" is missing PayPal, even though PayPal was checked when I made the listing.

I'm not sure if I'm missing something or what the deal is. Can someone comment please? Thanks

Hello maflores,

Our apologies for the delay.

1&2. Unfortunately, these fields are currently only setup to work with the new style templates. Our apologies for the confusion here, we are evaluating on weather to retrofit these fields to the old templates or at least add a note saying which templates these fields will apply to.

3. This is because only eBay checkout amounts will appear in this box. Unless you opt in to use the eBay checkout tool as well, and enter totals into those fields (you can turn this on or off via the My Account tab, under the eBay Site Specifics link) provided, this is the statement that will appear by default.

4. To add PayPal logos automatically to your listings, go to the "Payment Types Accepted" section of My Account -> Seller Preferences. Select "Include the PayPal Checkout button and logo" in your listings.

Note that if you select "Include the PayPal Checkout button and logo", eBay will insert a "Pay Now" button at the top of your closed listing. This button will take the winning bidder through eBay's checkout process (this option is unfortunately the only way that you can include PayPal in the list of payment options in red at the top of your listing.)

Regards,
Christopher

Hi there,
Okay, questions 1 and 2 were answered. I agree that Vendio should put a note explaining what will happen. This just caught me off guard.

#3: I cannot find the option to turn on/off

#4: I may not have explained myself correctly on this one. On my eBay listing, directly above where the bidder enter his/her bid amount there's a section called "Payment methods accepted." PayPal is missing

Hello,

3. From the My Account tab, click on the Ebay Site Specifics link found within. Scroll down and look for the section titled 'Payment Details' where you can either say you are specifying Payment Details, or not specifying Payment Details. If you say you are, then in your listings themselves it will give you a place to enter those details enabling the eBay checkout tool in the process.

4. That is exactly what we are talking about. You can only put PayPal at the top of that page by enabling the PayPal pay now button in the process. Just go to the "Payment Types Accepted" section of My Account -> Seller Preferences.
Then select "Include the PayPal Checkout button and logo" in your listings.

Regards,
Christopher
