Again thank you Vendio for the long awaited changes to the invoice in allowing SKU #'s to be shown.

I have another question regarding the use of SKU #'s. We have been putting in SKU #'s in our description (before you made invoice changes) so we could pull items for shipping. Now that we don't need to do that.... because the invoice has SKU's it. That would seem to eliminate the need to put SKU's in our descriptions, HOWEVER...when answering questions from ebay customers there is no way we can tell which item to pull if we do not continue to put SKU's in the description. We tried using just the item description in inventory (in order to pull skus), but the search engine is quite inadequate. Is there a way that SKU's could be automatically inserted somewhere in the auction page by simply inputing the info. in the SKU field in Sales Manager Pro. You can imagine having 1000's of auctions and having to input skus in both the sku field and also in the description...it in many times leads to errors and problems...not to mention time.

Thanks, Eric

Good morning immages,

Did you go to Post Sales Preferences page, and check "Include the SKU number on my invoices" under Invoice Formatting. All the listings and Vendio store items launched after this preference is set, will automatically add SKU to the invoice.

Does this help?

Tara, I will try to reword the question as best I can. We already have enabled SKU's on our invoices...that is not the question.

Our question pertains to answering questions from ebay memebers on our auctions.

Here go's again...

We have over 5000 items in our wareshouse. All the items have a SKU # tag that corresponds to the SKU field that was input into Sales Manager Pro.

When a ebay member asks us a question on an item, the information given to us by ebay is the ebay item #, description, etc., including a link to the auction. As of present the only way we can tell what SKU # the ebay member is asking the question on is by putting the SKU# in the Description Field in Sales Manager Pro as well.

This is my question....Is it possible that by inputing the SKU# in the SKU field that it can be somehow also be shown in the description field so that we do not have to type it in there. Please let me know.

Thanks, Eric

In order not to confuse you this question really pertains to Sales Manager Pro.

Hello Eric,

Sorry for the delay. At this time, there is no workaround to automatically include the SKU into the item descriptions unfortunately - however, many of the improvements to our systems are based on customer feedback, and I have passed your comments along to our Product Development department for evaluation.

Regards,
Christopher

Hey Eric,
I understand your problem and this is what we had to do. We sell hats and each hat gets an SKU# when listed and the # is put in the Title. Enables us to locate individual hats to answer questions, quickly search and locate within Vendio inventory and even able to search ebay with our SKU# and get the item. We had to give up some space in title but well worth the ease of organization. Would love to find a way to do it without giving up title space. Just some info on how we do it. Good day.
