I am currently relisting Ebay items using Post Sales and then unsold items. Is this the method that I should use to get the Ebay relisting refund if the items sells?

Hello dorrie,
If your item did not sell and it's the first relist, you should go to 'unsold items'. When you relist through our system, eBay will correctly recognize those listings that meet the criteria for an insertion fee credit. Note that if an item does sell, it is not eligible for an insertion fee credit through eBay if you relaunch the listing (if for instance you are selling a similar item.)

Let me make sure I understand. If we use the "automatic relisting" feature in the Vendio Software, and an auction closes without a bid, THEN Vendio relaunches it to eBay, is eBay going to recognize it as a relisting and automatically credit our accounts for the relisting fees? And on the Vendio side...ANY relisting of an auction is seen as a new auction launch and will be charged for again ( insertion fees )? THanks!
