Hi. I currently use Auctionworks for listing, but am thinking about converting to Vendio. However, I have a custom template that I would still like to continue using.

I cannot find how to do this anywhere. Everytime I have attempted to list something through Vendio I only get a choice of Vendio templates or a blank template that is not customizable (is that a word?). How can I use my own template to list through Vendio? I want to use my own template for every listing and just have to change description text for each item.

Thanks,

Lori

Hi Lori,

Unfortunately we do not support third party templates -- however our new template system is pretty flexible. You can upload your own background and logos and use them with our template system. There is a template called Blank Slate in the Template Workshop (it's under Designer Colors) that is customizable.

What does your custom template look like?

Sonya

Hi and thanks for the quick response!

It is not a 3rd party template. It is my own HTML. Is there any way to do that?

It is a template with a background, links to my store, thumbnail photos that link to my store, etc.

Also, do you have anything like Macros or tags that insert information in each listing? For example, in AW I include %%itemtitle%% and the title of the item is automatically inserted in my listing wherever I put %%itemtitle%%. Is there any such thing in Vendio?

Thanks again,

Lori

Hi Lori,

What you can do is create an inventory profile item in inventory, and store the HTML that you use as a template in the item description box. Then when you create new listings, you can just apply the inventory profile to the item you are creating so after you choose the category and hit continue, your HTML will already be there for you in the item description box. Then choose the Blank Template default as the template to use.

We do not have macros tags for creating listings, like the ones you describe. I will log a suggestion on your behalf with Product Development for this feature.

Regards,

Sonya
