Can anyone tell me what the setting for the FTP on ebay's seller's assistant should be. I need to know what the Remote FTP Host address should be and Listing Images URL address is? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Not sure how you are supposed to setup the Sellers Assistant program, but if you need the URL for your images when listing using that tool, here is the process for obtaining it through our system :

To obtain the code which contains your image URL(s), follow these steps:

1. Click the Image Hosting tab.
2. Check the box next to the image(s) that you wish to select.
3. On the bottom of the page, click the "Attach" button.
4. Choose "Other Auction Site (generate HTML)", select New Auction, and click "Continue"
5. On the next page, copy and paste the entire block of HTML (which includes your image URL) into the description box of the auction listing form.

If you wish to use only the image URL, it/they will be embedded in the HTML code generated by our system. If you do not have the "click to enlarge" feature enabled, the image url will look like this:

http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/yourAWusername/yourimagefilename.jpg

If you have the "click to enlarge" feature enabled, you will need to alter the ".mids" URL to create the correct image URL. To do this, just remove the /.mids portion of the URL. Here is an example:

Before:

http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/yourAWusername/.mids/yourimagefilename.jpg

After:

http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/yourAWusername/yourimagefilename.jpg

The "after" URL can be used in any auction and can be altered to point to any image in your list simply by changing the image filename portion - just be sure that the filename *exactly* matches the filename on our site (case-sensitive.)

Regards,
Christopher

How are you using Vendio along with SAPro or Basic? Vendio's stand alone image hosting and using SA to list?

Christopher, SAPro wants you to handle all images through the software so you upload them using that program to the image hosting service. When I used SAPro, I used my personal space on AOL to host my auction images and would upload them at the time I created my items and prior to listing them. For that, I needed to have AOL's FTP protocol, ie, FTP address, FTP userID and FTP password. Worked great -- and I was able to delete the images when the item sold and I didn't need them online anymore. But this may be the info he needs to be able to use SA properly...and I'm not sure how Vendio's image hosting service would accommodate that.

Hello,

Unfortunately, we do not support FTP protocol. I don't really know how Sellers Assistant works, hopefully there is another option besides using FTP. If you need to use Vendio hosted images in Sellers Assistant, the only way is to use the image URL (which you can obtain through the directions above).

Regards,

Sonya
