Hi,
I can't enter any information in the item description part through Vendio. I am using a webtv and have done this many times in the past. Why is this not working? Is there some new software? I need to list my items today on Ebay and need to get this fixed ASAP. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks~
Frank

Hello,

Unfortunately due to javascript limitations we do not fully support the WebTV platform. You may want to try powering down your WebTV box and trying again, or if you have access to a computer create your descriptions there.

Sonya

Sonya,
Hi. I powered off for 30 minutes and then tried to submit an auction and once again I can't type any information in the description field?? I have used this site for years without this problem and used it yesterday with no problems at all?? Are you sure there is not a new glitch in your system? I saw that you have some new information in the Ebay form on your site. Maybe this has something to do with this?
The only way I can launch an auction is to copy/paste some info, then go cmd x to erase it and then write my informtion in my email and copy paste it back into the vendio form item description. Well to say the least, this is taking way to long for each item and I list about 50 things per week. HELP!!! Any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated from anybody.

Dear Vetrand,
I am also on Webtv, and been having this problem since Vendio started using the Item Specifics drop downs on the create listing page. I can't enter the description box, to type. What you have to do, is enter a catagory number that Does Not yet use the item specific drop downs. I usually enter 82 which is Collectable Kitchen Items, continue to the Create Listing page, type in my item description box, and then use the Edit Catagory Number box, and put in the correct Catagory number for the item. Now the problem is going to be, when all the Catagories have the item specific drop down boxes. I can create an auction on Ebay directly, without any problems with the Item Specific Drop Downs, but prefer Vendio. Hope you can make sense of the above work around that I have been using.

Disregard my above reply. Vetrend is correct! Now my work around does not work, and I can't enter the description box on the Create Listing Page, on either of my ID's. Naturally it happens when Ebay is having a 1/2 Off listing fee days. It must not have anything to do with the Item Specifics, and the catagory I am using does not have them. The only addition on the page is the Zoom Image Secton. I Please help!

I`m also having problems in the description area on the vendio create auction site. Why can`t that be corrected as every other option is accessing fine? I also have been using webtv for 2 years now and the only other time I had same problem was when vendio and ebay were creating the drop down venue. However I did work around by not using the pottery and glass CAT,and it seem to correct out on its own after a few days. Now are you saying webtv users have no other options? Regards,[email protected]

I agree with Californiawhitehouse. I have been using this site for almost 5 years now and for Vendio to say that this is a webtv problem is incorrect! This problem occured yesterday. I listed through Vendio on Sunday with no problems. They obviouslly changed the format on the new Ebay page and the problem is with them. I have no idea why you can't investigate further now that others are having probblems?? I mean using this site is what we need to do because of the lack of technology with webtv. The advise you gave me was to "go use a computer"....well if I had a computer, then I would not need to use your site to dowload my images. There are other auction hosting sites that I can look into if you do not plan on correcting this problem. If you do not want the $40-$50 per month you make of my auctions, that is fine with me. Hopefully this problem can be investigated a bit more and not brushed off as a "webtv problem"....

Hello,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I will follow up with engineering on your behalf, but we have not officially been supporting WebTV for about 2 years now because the platform is not generally compatible with common functions such as javascript.

If you continue to have this problem you should still be able to use our image hosting system, to attach your images to listings created at eBay. You may also be able to use the listing form available through our image hosting system.

Thanks,

Diana
