I had an e-check come through PayPal today, but after a couple of hours it hadn't posted in Post-Sale (so I did it manually). How does IPN handle e-checks, will it only post after it clears, was there a glitch, or does it not handle e-check payments at all.

Also, what sort of time delay is there between a regular PayPal payment and IPN posting in Post-Sale?

And one more thing, IPN isn't picking up the country field for US orders, it's one more thing that has to be edited in checkout manually.

Thanks,

Hi Ferretbee,

Which item in post sale are you referring to? Please let us know so we can check this out further. The IPN will record e-check payments.

Regards,

Sonya

Hi Ferretbee,

Thank you for providing us with this example.

The IPN will record echecks after they clear. You should receive a couple emails from PayPal -- one that says you got an echeck payment, then another that tells you when it is cleared. There should be no delay between a normal PayPal payment and the IPN recording it.

We are investigating the country problem that you mentioned and will keep you posted on the progress of that.

Regards,

Sonya

Hi Sonya,

How long does it normaly take for regualar PayPal payment to be picked up with IPN?

I have a PayPal payment that was sent 1hr 15 minutes ago, but hasn't turned up in Post Sale. The payment is for a combined order and the item numbers are in the PayPal payment. (Item 3148020660,3148139043).

A more recent paymetn already posted.

I apologize for all the questions, but I've processed nearly 10,000 eBay transactions on another system, and the change is freaking me out.

Thanks,
Jeff (ferretbee)
