I processed my first batch of shipments with Vendio yesterday. I'm confused how the process is supposed to work. I had 35 items to ship USPS. Shipping involves 3 keys here: when I pack and print a label, step 4 is checked, but after step 4 is checked, there is no way to view items with just step 3 or items with step 4. In order to see which items I've packed and labeled, I either have to remember, or click on each individual item in "Items to Ship" view, or scroll through 6 pages worth of items in "Post Sale" view (the key bars are visible there). My only option today, was to pack my items, try to remember, then double check each item afterward to make sure none were missed. I guess I could print invoices, then use the the invoices as a control, but if payments come through during packing, I'll still have to look at each item to see if step 4 is checked.

Another issue is shipping notification. Once I've made sure step 4 is checked in all items in "Items to Ship" view I can check step 5 in bulk. Then I have to go through each item and click the "Shipping Notification" to check step 6. If I don't do this immediately after checking step 5 in bulk, I have no way to view items that have step 5 checked since as soon 5 is checked they'll only show up in "Post Sale" and "Feedback to Send" (where items that already have step 6 checked also show up and no way to view the difference).

Am I correct, or have I missed something?

It seems steps 3 and 4, and 5 and 6 can not be filtered from each other the way they should be. Alternately, the ability to view the key bar in "Items to Ship" or "Feedback to Send" views would give you the ability to visually identify the difference. It would also seem that there should be a bulk tool for "Item Shipped" notification and the option to send automatically when step 5 is checked.

Also, the lack of a search function in "Items to Ship" and other views is still a handicap.

One other small problem is that the SKU is not available anywhere except for the invoice.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm beginning to feel like I've made a terrible mistake here.

We will be happy to log a suggestion on your behalf to make steps 3 and 4 sortable. At this time, as you have noted, that is not the current functionality of the post sale tools.

You do not have to go through each item and click the shipping notification step. When you mark them all as shipped in bulk, you can send the shipping notification in bulk for all of those same items on the last step of that process. If you do not want to actually send the notification, you can simply skip this step completely.

"Also, the lack of a search function in "Items to Ship" and other views is still a handicap.

We will be happy to pass along your feedback on these issues on your behalf.

Hi Christopher,

Thank you for your reply, I did not see the "Send Shipping Notification" first time around, that takes care of one problem I had.

The lack of sort, filter, and search functions really does make Vendio unnecessarily difficult for me to use.

I appreciate you passing information along to development. I'll have to try to come up with some workarounds for the deficiencies in the meantime.
