If I check off step 2, but don't have any customer info recorded, will the PayPal IPN still work?

Hi Ferretbee,

We have tested this and the IPN will work -- your information will get populated in your Vendio Post Sale, even if you have step 2 checked off.

That's great, I needed some good news.

If step 2 is checked and customer info has already been entered (either through checkout or manually), would the IPN info overide what's there if different?

Unfortunately the IPN will not override existing customer information.

Hi Sonya,

I think it's better that it doesn't. If the customer has entered the shipping info, or has emailed me and I've done it manually that is information I want there. I just wanted to make sure I understand the behavior of Sales Manager and IPN.

For Sellers that will only ship to PayPal Confirmed addresses, this is something to watch for. Personally I ship wherever asked unless it's to a suspicious country.
