Is there something in Sales Manager that I can put a check mark in, or that will show me that a customer has a pending payment? For example if someone is sending a money order. I don't want to mark it paid, but I also don't want to bug them about non-payment if there's a money order on it's way.

Hello,

Step 2 in post sale can cover this -- when your customer fills out the WBN or Checkout they indicate how they are going to pay for the item. You can also see this in the Awaiting Payment section in Post Sale, since there is a column there that shows what payment method the customer has chosen.

Is there a way to manually tell Sales Manager that the customer is going to send payment? A lot of times, people who are using money orders don't use checkout. They just put it in the mail and send a note using the 'Ask Seller A Question' link. I want to be able to capture those ones in Sales manager as well as the ones who read the instructions and use the checkout.

I have thought it would be cool to have a check box that we could use to make note to expect money orders, or a drop down list that we could choose an expected payment method.

Sometimes they go through checkout and pay and the PayPal payment does not get logged and show paid on step 3. If the customer goes through checkout, a lot of times I go in to make sure what payment method they chose. If they picked money order, it would be nice to have this noted somehow so as I am looking at non payers in the future, so I do not have to open up checkout again, or as the other user said, in case they noted money order through an email.

Sometimes, people choose PayPal, and think it is done. Or a least they stop after choosing PayPal and do not link to PayPal and pay. If I knew they chose PayPal at a glance of the Post sale page, and payment had not shown up, I could know to look manually for payment, or send them a reminder that they had not completed the payment process.
