Hi when i list from inventory the items i list are getting launched twice. please help

Hello,
Does your browser hang or time out when you are launching? Make sure that you aren't hitting the launch button twice, as that can cause duplicates.

Yes it does hang and i cant understand why that happens either it does not hang if i launch under 24 items but yesterday it was hanging when launching as little as 7 items but when it does hang i just close out and wait for email confirmation that the item was listed before trying to launch again but yesterday if it hanged or not items were launching double I never had these problems before august just recently and i have not changed my setup here so im figuring its something on your end please help Ive asked about this a couple of times and have not received satisfactory responses

Same Problem again Tonight Please let me know if there is anything I can do on my end it it will launch one page of about 20 auctions then when I do the next page It takes forever to launch ( although other pages are loading just fine and my ping rate is 92 ms so the internet connection is good ) this is creating problems and unwanted fees

Hello sportsource,
If you the page times out, please check your pending/active list before resubmitting. If you notice a lag in the page submitting, please don't use the 'stop' and 'back' browser buttons, as this can result in duplicates.
I would recommend making sure that your browser cache is cleared regularly, and that you keep open applications to a minimum when you are submitting items. Also, please try launching in smaller batches - I know that is not the optimal solution but it will help you work around this issue.
We are looking into this now, as it is a rather complex problem.

Hi Diana, Thanks for your reply last night this happened while listing as few as 10 items at once. also I do not hit the stop or back button the launch confirmation page comes up as if everything was normal but i noticed that these items launched twice as per my inventory list. Before August i was able to launch 60 items at once now I am down to under 10 please help with this Time Consuming and Costly Problem

Same thing happened to me. Anything from inventory - no matter how many at a time - they double launch. I have to go into my pending auctions and delete the duplicates.

It happened again just now instead of double launchings it is now triple what is going on this is costing us a lot of time and money. Your answer to this is to list smaller batches it doesn't Matter how many there is something i list there is something wrong what is it if you cannot figure it out please let me know if you can help out on this or not
this is ridiculous this is going on now over 4 months and you give stupid replies such as make sure you don't hit the back button as to appease me without trying to get to the real root of this problem which i feel is the connection gateway to ebay something was changed during the summer and i have been having this problem ever since. It isn't the back button it isn't hitting the launch auction button twice it isn't my browser it isn't my cache all of these options have been checked and rechecked so please do not reply with any of these so called fixes also your last reply of trying to launch smaller batches doesn't work and you should be ashamed to even respond with a comment like that PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM

Hello,
How many are you launching at a time, from your inventory? Engineering is aware of certain limitations to launching from inventory, usually groups of 20 or less work out just fine.

Hi Sonya. yes as I stated in previous posts it started happening with over 25 items now it is happening in launching groups of ten we list 1000 items on sundays and it takes about 4 hours to do this. before the summer I would say May to be safe we were able to launch as many as 80 items at once but something changed and we noticed if we list smaller batches this did not happen so we changed our listing habits but now its become much more of a problem listing as little as 10 items we still list the 1000 items so i think you should be able to understand my frustration. we have had this problem from different computers that use different ISP's we've followed all of your suggestions and still it keeps happening. Is there something that Engineering can do about this?
As always Thanks for your time in responding to this and forgive my frustration but this can become a very big problem and has already began to become one

I'll second that. This spring we used to be able launch about 100 at once (one page worth) from the inventory. Then it suddenly started giving us the "page can not be displayed message", and tonight (as well as the last few weeks) some items were getting double launched at others weren't. That almost makes it harder. I launched a group of 43, and 82 showed up in pending. Then I had to go back and delete the double ones and figure out which one wasn't double launched.
I actually brought this problem up at Ebay live and the solution there was launch in smaller batches also.
