We can probably delete your inventory items for you - please confirm that you want *all* inventory items deleted and I'll escalate your request to engineering (note that you should not create any new inventory items until this is completed.)
Inventory items will not ever be automatically deleted - they will remain in the database until you delete them. Images that are attached to inactive inventory items will not be auto-saved. Images in inactive inventory items will be subject to the image deletion policy, with the deletion date depending on whatever window you have specified in your preferences (45 days is the default.)
As far as your last question, when items close they will be automatically categorized in post-sale - but you can create a specific inventory folder for auction items and save your eBay items in it. If that doesn't answer your question, please let us know.
