Hello,
I am having problems launching auctions come up with error messages, all problems are in the pottery, glass, and china portion. No items specifics are coming up even though I entered them, even on auctions I launched in the past, all are in the other(94) category, and those I want to list are missing this. I have noticed that I have no drop-down menus for this category beyond pottery/china, please help, do I have to end my auctions, redo them all?????

I'm having the same problems with relist in Pottery & Glass.

I've even tried to relist them in another category, thinking I could revise in ebay after it's launched. That doesn't work either. Any auction I had that was previously in P&G errors out even if I change the category on relist.

This is a PITA!

Hi there,

eBay has recently made changes to their categories, adding item specifics to some and eliminating the item specifics from others. Unfortunately, this can cause problems for listings that were created prior to the changes. We are looking into how we can work around this, but in the meantime if you have listings that will not launch even if you try updating the category, you may need to recreate them from scratch. I am sorry for the inconvenience. If you are having trouble loading categories, please try pressing the CTRL & F5 keys on your keyboard simultaneously (while on the category page. )

Thanks,

Diana

Can we use the copy and then edit to launch these - I have a guy wanting to buy and I have tried to relaunch twice now and it won't work. He's going to think I'm crazy when I write him yet again.
If I launch from ebay - will I be allowed a credit for photo charges on Vendio? I think I really need the relist so that he can find it??

Unfortunately, this is what happened to me last night. I tried to relist 5 items -all pottery/china- and they kept erroring. I changed the categories, saved, tried relist, tried launch. Nothing worked until I did copy and launch. I really wanted them to launch in early evening, Saturday, so I did not have any other choice -I will be charged for new listings.

Thank you so much, Vendio, for working on this issue. I understand that it must be difficult for you to keep up with all Ebay's changes.

As for the categories being reversed to basically what they were "before" it seems that it is a good move from Ebay. The changes with item specifics brought too much confusion and made it hard for buyers to browse ebay. Now, indeed, it is creating confusion as some sellers are looking for the specifics. There are plenty of good threads on Ebay Community Board addressing the categories specifics issue.

Yes, Ebay made the right moves but it will be confusing for a lot of users. And it looks like the best way to correct the problem is to re-create your errored listings from scratch. I'd suggest opening two browsers and copying the contents of one listing into a new listing.

There doesn't seem to be a guarantee that copying your item and revising it will fix the problem.
Best Regards,

DarinCS
