When I try to relaunch an auction I receive the following error message:
Error 5113: Invalid child attribute value. (1388:23715)
The value for "Sub-Category" is invalid for the given value you have specified for "Category".
Note: this error may be related to the Item Specifics content you entered. Please review content in 'other' fields in the Item Specifics section for validity and number of characters.
I have played around with cxategories and item specifics and to no avail.
Any ideas? I had this problem with a few others but after I changed some item specifics they launched.

Hi Dennis,
The error you are receiving means eBay has either added item specifics to the category you are listing in, or the item specifics set for the category you are listing your item in may have changed and eBay has not properly updated their API yet.
Here are some suggestions that might help:
1. Locate the Category section on the create listing page (underneath templates, above Features) and click on the Edit Category button. In some cases, after you do this, you will need to reselect your category starting with the Top Category -- but in most cases, hitting the Continue button will be sufficient. After selecting your category, you will be returned to the create listing page. Scroll down to the category selection area, where you should see some item specifics options. Fill them out, then save your listing and proceed with launch.
2. If the above directions do not help, try copying the pending item, then resetting the item specifics. If your item has a red "details" link instead of a "copy" link under the Action column, click the item title, then the blue Copy button at the top righthand side of the page. Note that after you do this, you will be editing the copy, not the original. This may resolve the problem, but note that if you are relisting, the copy will not be eligible for an insertion fee credit from eBay as it will be launched as a new listing.
3. If there is a custom attributes field you may be able to launch the item if you use one of eBay's pre-defined attributes rather than entering a custom value (such as in the case of 'size' - try using one of the pre-defined M, L, XL options instead of entering a size such as 10, 12, etc.) Once the listing is live, you should be able to revise it on eBay to reflect the custom value.
Daaguirre1 -- your issue is actually a bit different, I posted in your other thread so please check that one if you haven't done so already.
