Hi,

Newbie here again... I have an auction page/template that I created using html which I use on both Ebay and Yahoo. How do I add it to my Sales Manager to create my auctions?

Thanks,
Vicky

Hi Vicky,

The Template Workshop does not accept user-created HTML templates but there is a workaround available. Please start with creating a new listing (just fill it with basic information but put your HTML for your template in the item description box). In the create listing screen at the bottom, check the "Save this item in my inventory" option.

Once the listing is created and saved, go to Inventory (you will find the link in the left navigation bar in Sales Manager.) Locate your item, and click on the item title. Then, select "Profile Item" at the top of the page, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Save" button. You will now see that your profile item will be highlighted in yellow on your inventory page.

After this is completed, you will see that the inventory profile has been added to the drop-down list on the Choose Category page under Apply Profile.

I hope this helps! Please feel free to contact us again if you need further assistance.

Regards,

Sonya

Unfortunately, html put into only the item description field is not the same as also controlling the look of the background the description sits in. To make the description field function like a template, select the blank template option and roll in all your html. If you can work around one of their image layouts so you can attach and export pics to ebay easily, definitely do that. Or, you can embed all your images in your html by coding them in and editing the image html each time, or you can just redesign a close look-alike in the template workshop that has your logo and colors and graphics as a close substitute for your personal one to use when you are listing with vendio.
If you decide to use the blank template and want a truly blank white page, be sure to turn off all your global preferences that vendio uses to insert default html for you automatically (like custom text fields, payment data, shipping, etc.) You should be able to get it down to only a white blank page, with one of their image layouts, all your html, and only the small vendio ad credit rolled into the very bottom. Everything on the page will be your "description" and you can save it as a profile item to copy and reuse etc. etc etc.
