Hi: There are two custom templates I want to change slightly.
Walnut Frame: I want to change the background color to a soft creamy color.
Pines and Needles: I want to edit out the red so it isn't so Christmas-y and change it to a medium brown.
I've fiddled and fiddled with the custom colors. I will pull up the template I want to work on, click on the area I want to change, choose a nice color. And nothing happens and I don't know where to go from there.

The names of the two templates: "Walnut Frame" and "Pines and Needles." They are from your custom templates list; can't remember which sub-heading I used, to find them originally.
I'm sure I'll want to fiddle with more of the templates but I'm afraid to try now, having tried and not gotten anywhere.

Hello,
I am not having any problems changing your templates -- have you tried clearing your browser cache and restarting? The backgrounds changed instantly for me when I tested this.

I cleared my cache.
I went to the Walnut Frame template. I see that there's a grayish background color on it now, which perhaps you've altered? It isn't anywhere near the custom color I had wanted, but I'm encouraged to see it has been changed!
Please tell me exactly what to click on:
>I click on "edit background"
>Basic color (I click on a color)
>Prompt says "add to custom colors" - I click on the color I've chosen there.
THEN what? Nothing changes in the template itself and I see nowhere to do anything else at that point.
Should I be choosing the color FIRST and THEN clicking on edit background?? (And is there a tutorial to tell me all this so I don't have to bother you nice people?)

Hello,
After you do that, click the radio button for 'color' in the Pattern box and that should change your background color. You were doing everything right, there was just a step missing.
The Help section has an FAQ for Custom Templates. You can always ask us if you have any questions about your templates.

Voila, Sonya! What I didn't know was the "okay" button. It didn't show at the bottom of the choices--but when I went to look for it I had to scroll alllll the way down - and even then only the top part of the word shows. When I clicked to "okay," everything worked.
I may not be the only one for whom the Okay Button didn't even show?!!
