Hi, What happens to the active listings once they close I have impoted my existing inventory and my existing active listings. I did this because when i imported my existing inventory it only imported items in stock waiting to be launched and i had 850 active listings at the time so instead of losing the count on these listings i imported active listings as well. my question is when these active auctions are closed will they go back into their respective inventory listing and get totalled to the qty on hand raising it by one or will i have to put them all back manually one by one to their respective inventory listings. just to clear any confusion that i might have created here let me just put it this way

1- i Imported existing inventory of 10 widgets ( shows up in one folder#1 )
2 I downloaded existing Active Listings of 2 widgets currently at auction (this shows up in a second folder#2)

when the 2 widget auctions end my guess is that they will go back in their respective folder in Folder#2

is this true and how would i get the 2 widgets over to Folder#1 without making duplicate inventory listings in folder#1

Thanks for any help you can provide

Hello,

The items you listed from inventory, if they do not sell, will get added back to the quantity available in inventory. If you want to move items from one folder to another, please select those items -- click on the 'Move' button and choose your folder -- and click on 'move'.

I hope this answers your questions, please let me know if you need more help on this.

Regards,

Sonya

Hello,

Moving items from one folder to another does not create duplicates of the item.

Whenever you relist an item, whether you manaully relaunch it, or it is part of an automated schedule, we always try for the eBay free relist. We always automatically check for eligibility on all launches.

Setting an item to relist once has changed and I actually answered the question on another post recently. Here is how that works.

If you want to have a single item auto relist once to get the eBay free relist, you need to make a Launch Profile that will have the item relist once. You can do this by having the end date for the schedule be soon enough that it permits only one relist, not many.
The best way would be to use the “Fixed Schedule” Profile to have the item launch again at the specific time you set, while setting the end date to a date that is sooner than twice the duration of your auction. So, if you launch a 7-day auction on Monday, set it to relist the next Monday, and have the end date set to the day after, Tuesday.
We are looking into a simpler way of supporting the case of “auto relist once to capture the eBay free relist” so that you don’t have to create a complete Launch Profile

Hello Abe,
Thanks for answering aorry i did not realize you posted about this most of the post are about people wanting to cancel their subcribtions. after you answered i tried it and duplicate listings appear in folder 1. Again I will explain what happens

i have an inventory of 3 different widgets in folder 1 lets call these widgets widget small, widget large and widget supersize.
this is the existing batch of inventory that i initially imported say i have 3 of ea on hand right now just sitting in inventory.

Folder 2 is all of my active auctions for the same widgets say i have 1 of ea at auction as these end and become stock again i would like to add them to their respective inventory listing. so following your advice i moved one of them (small widget) to its folder (folder # 1). Now Ihave 2 listings for the small widget. one listing counts the original 3 and one counts the one that ended and is now back in inventory Thus making 2 folders for the same widget.

now this would not be a problem if i only had 3 different items active at the time of the original import but i had close 900 active listings. is there a easier way to combine these that i'm missing here?
again any help is appreciated

about the relists I hope you guys can get something done about this soon because we list close to 1000 auctions a week and really do not have the time to make a launch profile everytime we launch listings thats Really Crazy!

again any help is appreciated

Hi, sportsource --

Sorry for the confusion. Here is an easier way to combine/merge your items:

First, here's my understanding of your situation (please correct me if I'm wrong):
- you imported your existing inventory of (for example) 10 widgets, which created "folder #1" 1 inventory item for each of those widgets. Let's call them widgets A through J.
- you also imported your existing active listings of (for example) 2 widgets, which created another "folder #2" with 2 inventory items for each of those widgets. Let's say these are widget A and B.
- your question is, how can you "merge" the inventory information for widget A & B in the second folder with the inventory information for widgets A-J in the first folder?

One way to do this is by taking advantage of View Options, Search, Find & Replace, and Quantity adjustment features. Here's how:

1) Login to Vendio and click on "All Folders" to see your main inventory view.

2) Click on the "View Options" tab to make sure you have turned on display of columns which will help you distinguish the different items as you do your merging. Namely, your "Folder", "Qty Available" and "Qty On Market" columns should be checked (so that they are displayed).

3) To merge two inventory items that are in 2 different folders, click on the "Search" tab to bring up the inventory items that you want to merge. For example, in our hypothetical example of widgets above, you would search the name field for "Widget A" in "All folders", which should bring up two inventory items, one in folder #1, and one in folder #2.

4) Determine which inventory item you are "keeping", and which one you are "discarding". In our example, I presume you want to keep the "Widget A" in folder #1, and discard the "Widget A" in folder #2. Select (by checking the checkbox next to) the appropriate "Widget A" item (in the Folder column, it should say "folder #1".

5) Use the "Find & Replace" option to specify that you want to find the "Quantity Available" field of the selected items, and replace its contents with the appropriate value (you can change the value outright, or specify an amount to increase/decrease by). In our example, "Widget A" in folder #1 should have its "Quantity Available" increased by 1, while "Widget A" in folder #2 should have its "Quantity Available" decreased by 1.

6) If you are merging items while one has quantities "on market" or "to ship", you can click on either of those two values for each item in the inventory view to bring up an item history pop-up. In this pop-up, you can adjust the "quantity on market" or "quantity to ship" manually for an individual item. Just make sure you make the appropriate, opposite adjustment to the item you are discarding.

Once you have merged your items and verified your changes are as desired, you should be able to do some clean-up by deleting the (now empty) items in folder #2 and deleting the folder itself.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions -- thanks --
